2013 speculation no distraction for Cal Crutchlow

Cal Crutchlow is adamant that intense speculation about his MotoGP future is not a distraction as he ponders a two-year offer to join Ducati’s factory squad. The British rider was due to sit down with Yamaha boss Lin Jarvis in the Assen paddock tonight (Wednesday) to try and get further clarification on the Japanese factory’s 2013 strategy. The Monster Yamaha Tech 3...

It's hard to think Yamaha would overlook Cal for the factory bike next to Lorenzo, but his passport could be the biggest stumbling block for him, lets face it when was the lastime a British rider went to the top of the list against any Spaniard or Italian?

DECISION`S,decision`s...

Nice to be in a position where he "might" have a choice.I hope he end`s up as Honda team leader but there`s alway`s Ducati. He could well be a winner in that team. Let`s face it...he won`t do as badly as the current pair of "rider`s".

Same £ terms??? Your havin a laugh.

I predicted he would be on a factory bike in 013 after the 1st couple of rounds and that the bank manager would be his best friend. Offering Cal the same financial terms as previously woule effectively be Yamaha showing him the door and applying their foot to his bum. Its not all about the money, far from it, but get real Yamaha.

I suspect that a Honda ride will be very hard to resist. But he is in such a good position now. He could take the Ducati deal, bank the money and switch to another manufacturer down the line if necessary.

FP2

As Moaner just pointed out, Cal second in FP2. Ben must've found the nitrous button for 1st, Rossi still pedaling in the bottom ten and Stoner dreaming of the one that got away.

Best season for years by far.
