Assen MotoGP: Stoner storms to pole

Repsol Honda's Casey Stoner will start tomorrow's MotoGP race from pole position after a last minute fast lap bumped team-mate Dani Pedrosa off the top spot. It looked as though Pedrosa would claim pole after setting the fastest lap in the opening minutes of the session before rain started to fall. The rain only lasted a few minutes before the riders...

Phenominal performance

from Casey.  Stark contrast to Valentino Pussy who gave up after his crash last week.

Jorge has the race pace on the harder tyres, though.

when push becomes shove

all hell breaks loose. there is nothing better than watching raw talent being displayed through pain and anger. that last 5 mins was totally mesmerizing , it really did look like he was trying to kill that bike through a massive build up of frustration. the weather is the real enemy this year for those trying to solve bike problems. awesome display of balls from casey.

WITHOUT THE CHATTER....

He would be un-stoppable.Still a long, long way to go though, Cal looking good,{ for a cripple },and Bradl was impressive and was lucky not to get held up by the backmarker. Wow,what a difference a soft tyre can make.                                                                                                                                                                    And Tetsuo,he gave up as soon as the cheque cleared,Valencia test 2010 !

20 minutes

Casey is an outside shot at the win. The warm up can swing it for himself and Gabarini. I still fancy Lorenzo for the race.

I surely loved that qualifying session though. Genuine mirth from Stoner. A massive effort. Unforgettable.

JL has the race pace...

And i am sure he will extend his championship lead even further tomorrow...  Can't see Stoner racing on the soft tyre which he used to mask the problems he is actually having in order to get a fast lap in...  Could he finish off the podium this time round?? Never say never eh...

Love this.. Stoner - "We didn't realize we had that much pace (with the soft tyre)"

Maybe you would have done if you could be bothered to do more than a handful of laps... ha ha ha - you may have even been able to dial out the chatter problem by now also if ya wasnt so lazy...

Even more sure than you were of Pussy going to Ducati and turning it into a race winner?  Fortunately for Casey, what you think doesn't carry any weight since you're a retard and Rossi isn't nearly as good as you think he is.

Where did Pussy qualify again?

I haven't seen qualifying

But it does seem on the surface Stoner has shot himself in the foot a bit with his slow tyres comment, as he destroyed the pole record by a second.
