Assen MotoGP: Valentino Rossi 13th after rear tyre disaster

Valentino Rossi went from challenging for his best dry weather result of 2012 to finishing in a disastrous 13th after he suffered a major rear tyre failure in Assen. Rossi was locked in a battle for fifth position with Nicky Hayden and Hector Barbera when his factory Ducati GP12 developed an early vibration from his hard compound Bridgestone rear tyre. Yam3358 I think leemuz has a point why he is pissed off with MotoGP these shitty tyres not long ago it was Casey complaining about them. MotoGP is fast becoming into a joke Dorna stand up for your sport because its becoming a laughing stock and its disappointing us fans.

Yes, and rightly so. Except when he was telling everyone how shit they were.. it was classed as moaning.

Rossi 'I had major tyre problems'. Response: Bridgestone launches full investigation. Yeah a few others experienced problems aswell, but it really doesn't matter who or how many. All cases should be looked into.

It is crap what they're doing with the tyres, but they had to do it. Imagine racing against a Casey Stoner who doesn't have to worry about tyre degradation... it'd probably be 14 race wins at the very least in just one season.

What kind of championship changes tyres half way through the season when most bikes have been designed around the previous structure? Oh, thats right. Uncle Carmelo and his coup of clowns. Bridgestone are just as bad at the moment. Almost reminds me of Michelins last year.

Well...

2011 Rossi thinks he can ride 2secs a lap faster in the rain than everyone else & takes out championship leader in what he calls a stupid mistake, still gets 11 points, no further action... 2012 Bautista thinks he can pass 4 riders before 1st corner, takes out championship leader in what he calls a stupid mistake, gets no points, & is penalised.

Stoner complains about getting a dud tyre & nothing hppens. Rossi complains & BS launch an investigation. Welcome to RossiGP.

Thank god for Moto3...

... that's what you call 'racing'... a bunch of guys who don't give a shit about the tyres, the only concern is to stuff it up the guy in front at every opportunity. Well done lads.

Not so the 'premier' class, not so much a race as a lottery these days. Tyres shouldn't be such an important part of the race, punters go to see the best in the world at THEIR limits...not being sabotaged by shit tyres... "Unfortunately a few riders experienced a problem" FFS. Bridgestone have ruined more races than Bautista could ever do.
