Aragon WSB Race Two; Melandri wins epic race two battle from Laverty and Davies

BMW Motorrad rider Marco Melandri rode a stunning race to finally come out on top of an intense four rider battle for the win in race two at Aragon today. The 28 year old had to use every piece of his extensive race craft to ultimately take victory – a result which moves him up to second in the overall...

Spain 4 Italy 0

Davies and Laverty were awsome. But watching both races on Eurosport I was pretty sure there were no other riders but Max and Melandri I'm glad Italy got there asses handed to them by spain as they seem to have no modesty or sportsmanship. When they have an Italian director it's like they are the only people who exsist. Italians do a huge amount for the sport but really need to get over themselves.

BMW thinking

I'll bet BMW are thinking 'what the hell we're we paying Troy Corser and Leon Haslem for over the previous 2 years' when all that BMW needed was Melandri on it. Well done Chaz & Eugene, showed Max the way home. Shame Tom can't turn those fast qualifying laps into a win.

No, no, no Cornbowl, BMW has done a heap more than just put Melandri on the bike, including snapping up half the former Yamaha WSB team. And as for Leon, he has been incredibly unlucky this season, not least when his so called team mate caused him to crash within sight of a win.

Go Chaz

Race 2 was bloody fantastic and any one of the leading 4 riders could have won, but for me, rider of the day has to go to Chaz Davies. He just kept nibbling away to get to the front and rode with a talented and mature effort and was a joy to watch.

EAT YOUR HEART OUT

Eat your heart out MOTOGP fans .The 1st four covered by less than half a second when was the last time that happened in MOTOGP .A terrific race and Chas Davies is beginning to show what a class act he is. Well done to Laverty as well it should be a good confidaence booster. Melandri is a class act but the other riders are beginning to get wise to his block passing.Biaggi is going to take some stopping for the championship though

what is happening to

Leon Haslam ?,yes he was unlucky at Donington but in fairness that was his back yard and you would of expected him to want to more so than ever beat Melandri ,It's starting to look as though he is being relegated to number two in that team and possibly looking for another ride, not good as BMW rise to the top step ,Time to re group fast Leon as you are starting to look like the nearly man of wsb
