Dani Pedrosa to sign new Honda deal by Mugello?

The MotoGP paddock might be awash with rumours that Valentino Rossi will be back in Honda’s official factory squad in 2013, but HRC bosses publicly at least are saying that a new deal for Dani Pedrosa is close to being signed. Rumours about a Rossi return to Repsol Honda for the first time since 2003 have been gathering momentum since reigning...

Oh well

We all better get used to the Spanish national anthem after Casey leaves(Lorenzo-Pedrose-Marquez or Bautista)on the box in Moto GP, Vinales and several other Spaniards will probably move up to Moto2,and i have no doubt another dozen young Spaniards will enter Moto3 from there very good home series which brings on a vast amount of young talent.Could be the Spanish Grand Prix series next year,Just won the footie as well as many other sports you can think of(if there not being band for performance enhancing drug taking)

Motoking, leave now...

Why are you bringing up rossi/stoner? have you read the article above? This is a forum for discussion not bullshitting, why do you have to try and turn it into a stoner/rossi moan like every other motogp thread? Let the fans discuss real stuff please....and you're wrong, rossi hasn't won at silverstone, rain for your information levels the playing field as the pace is slower and the bikes aren't on the edge, a lot of it comes down to setup as well.

kcmc, don't think they will be winning any yachting ;)

Pedrobot

If Pedrosa was going to win the coverted crown, he would have done it by now!  Yes he's fast, but hes never going to be the top dog in moto gp, hes the 'nearly man'

If it wasn't for his passport, Pedrobot would have been on a satellite bike years ago!!

Like to see Dani on the yam, it's easier to man handle and his light weight wouldn't be as much a problem as on the honda, more 250 like .. Reckon he'd put up a much better challenge on it.. Don't think Honda will keep him or if they do the 4 bike rule will be dropped at the end of the season and he'll be no3 rider at honda.. I'm with you bloodbubble the honda was well and truly sorted halfway through 2010 and Dani was looking unstoppable till the throttle stuck opened on him. But things have moved on and he's only the 2nd best rider at honda and would I reckon get well beat by Rossi if he joined them.. Has always been just behind the other 3 I reckon.

Dani

This is his 7th season in MOTOGPon the top, top bike, he will never win the title as long as he has a hole in his ass, passport keeps him there, most of riders would have had to change teams by now, like Hayden did even though he won the title for Honda.

Look @ Dovi, he'll not win a title no matter what he's on but he's had to change teams from Repsol to a satellite team to keep in MOTOGP as he wasn't a title threat.

silly fokkers

still cant believe honda are pinning any title hopes on dani ,fk are they in the shit or what? 7 seasons and never looked like a title threat, they even forced the rules to make little 800cc bikes to suit dani the dwarf and that went pear shaped, they said they  really wanted the title in 2011 changed things, and hired stoner, bang theres your title, sure they have to keep repsol sweet and have a spanish rider, and they will, but who the fuk have they got thats is going to take the fight to jorge? pedroza never will now, and mm is far from lorenzos  level for a good while yet,rea would be a far better prospect than marquez.so whats the future like at honda, wait until lorenzo has a bad season and maybe pick up the title? thats the only way it will happen, UNLESS honda know something we dont(like a stoner rethink for 2014)or rossi joining for a swansong,if its left to dani and mm honda aint gonna have a title for a good while to come

No change

This year he has been a little disappointing. More than a little actually. He seems very hesitant a) to pass and b) if the conditions aren't perfect.

That's not just this year - he's always been like that.  This year's tyres aren't exactly encouraging riders to be more aggressive, either.

I agree, pedrosa wont win unless jorge gets injured. MM will be a star but I odubt in his first season. He may show signs of promise like bradl, spies and crutchlow have but I seriosuly doubt he will challenge for the title immediately, even if he manages to become an alien by the end of the season. I think it will take a lot of practise and crashing before it really happens, just like when he joined moto2, and like when stoner was at lcr, they are shit initially and keep seeing how far they can throw the bike then it clicks and it all works.

Wrong again blood

"2010 he was challenging for the title."

Are you saying he's out of this one?  You were saying he's hesitant to pass this year, but that's typical behaviour for him.

Last year he had the advantage of his team mate being new to the bike.  This year was always going to be tougher for him.  Don't be surprised.
