Need water-proof panniers!

Hi there,

Bought myself some oxford first time luggage panniers and found them to be pretty useless. They let is water, even with the 'rain covers' on. The zips rarely worked and they are a nightmare to get on/off the bike.

Is there a decent, fully-waterproof soft pannier product on the market? Most of them seem to require rain covers. I'm leaning towards the oxford RT sets but there's nothing on the websites telling me whether they're water-proof or not.

Cheers,
Ben

Waterproof luggage.

Anything with multiple stitching is going to leak eventually when exposed to the fine spray coming off a motorbike. Panniers and tail-packs seem too complicated to me. I reckon I've tried most options but I've settled on sorting my kit into draw-string bags which are then put into dry bags (used by kayakers) and secured using a cargo net. This minimises dead volume and the dry bags will securely mould themselves to the bike's pillion seat or rear rack. Try Amazon for the underlined items, for starters.
