Sachsenring MotoGP: Valentino Rossi pins hopes on Mugello test

Valentino Rossi is hoping a crucial test immediately after his forthcoming home race in Mugello will deliver the progress and improvements he wants to be convinced his future lies with Ducati. The Italian held talks with Ducati technical boss Filippo Preziosi after last weekend’s Dutch TT at Assen, where the 33-year-old was critical of a lack of development direction  adopted by...

chic chic... kaBOOM!

Just another chink in the armour of the 'king of setup'. Tyre pressure too low to help traction and compensate for his laziness on the bike. Maybe they should remove the 'locating dowel' he had fitted to the seat? No, it's no Yamaha, but Stoner could still make that fucker sing.

By the end of his tenure with Ducati, his armour will look like a bunch of rednecks have let fly with a crate of 00buckshot on their their favorite road sign.

They'll never polish that out! Hehe...

There is no interest from HRC or Yamaha

Ask yourself if there was interest from HRC or Yamaha don't you think he would have gone already, this is just the UK MotoGP press machine bigging up Rossi as they have done ever since the boy with the Silver Spoon came into GP's. I mean we have the likes of Toby Moodie making comments like "Now that Jorge is bedded in for next season everyone is waiting to see what Rossi will do" ROFL, Nakamoto immediately comes out with the double face palm that HRC will make no offer to Rossi. Seriously the likes of Moodie, Emmett and Birt need to take golden boys balls out of their mouths for a minute and get back to reporting facts rather than fantasy.

Shame really

I think it will be less of a show next year with less racing if Rossi doesn't get a competitive bike. I would love to see rossi battling Lorenzo and maybe dani, cal, dovi etc etc etc. It's a fucking waste and boring to not have great battles. booooo.

Don't forget there will be no stoner next year (sorry to bring it up and to remind all his fans), so no lorenzo/stoner battles. boooo.

One thing you can or have to objectively say is that in the years before he went to ducati Rossi was involved in every, Every, memorable battle. All the famous battles have one thing in common and that Rossi is one of the riders involved. So whether you love him or hate him, you have to appreciate him for the battles. If you hate him you still have to thank rossi for being around to battle your favourite rider.

stay nice.

One day...

...I really hope the 'something will arrive' miracle parts will actually make a bloody difference, unlike the false dawns promised from these tests over the last 18 months.......

On the subject of development direction, whilst I don't consider Ducati wholly blameless, surely a good deal of this should come from the input and feedback from its team of riders, none more so than the supposed head rider? ( I was going to add also a development and set-up god, bet alas have seen none of neither over recent months).

The strange comment at the end concerning the stress and temperature of the 1000 not being a Bridgestone problem?? What?? Surely it's been Brigestones directive to produce a safe, competitive tyre enable a 'race' to (heaven forbid) occur.

Pay him enough money and he'll say anything Benny?

I suppose, but only after he's been reminded of who his paymasters are, his salary and just how incredibly piss poor value for money he's been. This rant from Rossi post Assen qualifying;

"Ducati need for try to bring this bike at a better level," Rossi told English media. "We need to have a clear and a better plan for try to fix the problem, because at this moment we expect just a different engine to try for try to have the bottom more smooth, which I think is a good idea. But for the problem of the understeer and to finish the tire too early, I don't know what I have to expect. We need some good ideas because for try and fix the problem it is not enough to try to fix with the settings. We need something more, but unfortunately I don't know what.

Does Corse have a plan? Of course they fuggin' do after being blinded by the glare of the fallen sun god and his moonbeam side kick 2011. Rossi is little more than a white dwarf  now (hot under the collar but no outward radiance) and Ducati Corse is taking charge once more, building to 2013 when they'll be rid of this disrespectful egotistical charlatan.

Wosi. Noted Stoner disser Kevin Schwantz said that pass by Stoner on Lorenzo at Laguna last year was the ballsiest pass he'd ever seen. Now Revin' Kevin does talk a lot of trash, but the man knows about testicular fortitude. But hey that's nothing on a good Rossi barge pass is it?

Yeah ok Wosi. I kinda agree with you but my main point to everyone is what are we going to watch next year. Are we going to miss out if Rossi isn't on a competitive bike? Yes I think so.
