Sachsenring MotoGP: Valentino Rossi content with best dry result

Valentino Rossi declared himself satisfied with his first dry weather top six finish of 2012 in yesterday’s German Grand Prix, but the Italian was still almost a second a lap slower than race winner Dani Pedrosa. Rossi was content to sit in 10th at the back of a large battle involving Stefan Bradl, Hector Barbera and team-mate Nicky Hayden for much...

Factory ducati thirty seconds off

Factory ducati thirty seconds back. Satisfied.

Its amazing what qualifies as satisfying when you ride for ducati.

Probably the same effect for those dupes that buy and ride ducati.

Hey boys Tom Cruise and the head of the church of scientology ride ducati.

Audi...

It was a great race and although for Rossi's standards its a poor finish, it is however his best performance in the dry on that bike so have to take some kind of positives i guess...

Rossi was in talks with Audi at the weekend and they are apparently extremely enthusiastic about Ducati's MotoGP project and said that "they were willing to make resources available to make the changes necessary for the bike to be fixed"...  Hopefully Rossi wont be mixing it mid pack next year with a bit of luck!! (luck = Audi money) :)

Top six finishes is the best what Ducati can wish for unless it rains of course.

Yep best dry result yet. Have to believe Presiozi is off the motogp project asap(a lot of work to do in wsbk at the mo with the panigale).. With Audi apparently wanting to continue and keep Rossi offering big bucks(thought he was on big bucks!!) tells you all you need to know about where Audi think the problem is... Not to many follow ups form the nicky no1 crowd.. you know who you are..

Because it sounded like he might have been a place higher if the yellow flags hadn't been out i.e. if Stoner hadn't crashed... that's all... I know he crashed... that's why Rossi was 6th without having to pass Bradl (& risk crashing like Stoner did). Stoner did everybody a big favour & made the championship all the more interesting.

Thing sounds interesting. It would be great to see Rossi battling up front on that duke. Cal/ rossi could make a good team?
