Honda to roll-out brand new factory RC213V at Mugello test

One bike for each will be flown from Japan for the test and should arrive at the Mugello circuit on Saturday. Honda boss Shuhei Nakamoto confirmed to MCN in Mugello this morning...

Getting ahead of the game

Just because it's new, it's not guaranteed that it will be an improvement...

Pit lane

If its a completely new machine won't they have to start from pit lane when they first use it.

Yes Acanada that's right

All machines are required to start from pitlane. No machine maybe transported directly to the track and started from there.

RR

I never cease to be amazed by the sheer engineering might and brilliance of HRC. For all their faults in other areas, they really show the way here !!!

Amen to that.

Honda and Ducati

elbowz:

1) Why is designing a new bike mid-season 'bending the rules'?  Honda don't have the distraction (and the resources drain) of F1 these days, so should we be really surprised that they've come out with a new bike to fix the chatter issue once and for all?

2) More homework needed regarding Ducati.  Now owned by Audi, part of the Volkswagen Group.  2011 profts total £11 billion, global workforce 400,000.  Small company you reckon?  If Audi are serious about making Ducati a leading force in MotoGP, the whole grid should be worried.

But you would say that, being a Yamaha die-hard, wouldn't you?

Hey TrollB Ducati all of a sudden a big company thanks to Audi buying them I know they are part of the Volkswagen group moron. As for the Honda opinion did I not see Ducati do the same at Aragon and Rossi starting from pit lane going over 6 engines. Ducati as a small company well that is what they were until they got purchased as for being worried thats for the future.
