Honda to roll-out brand new factory RC213V at Mugello test

Casey Stoner and Dani Pedrosa will test a ‘completely new’ factory Honda RC213V machine during a one-day test session at the Mugello circuit in Italy on Monday, MCN can reveal. One bike for each will be flown from Japan for the test and should arrive at the Mugello circuit on Saturday. Honda boss Shuhei Nakamoto confirmed to MCN in Mugello this morning...

elbowz, i think you've answered your own question.  Stoner has only used two engines so far this season, and three for Dani.

you can design six different bikes with six different engines, but at the end of the day, it's still meeting the six engine rule for the season.

CosherB.....

Picking on the handicapped is not good sport mate, your continual stalking of poster Elbowz on this forum makes you no better than the likes of Hugelean and Wosi who would see the poor cripple Preziosi pushed in front of a bus if they had the chance.

i've neither the time nor the inclination to 'stalk' elbowz or anyone else on here for that matter.  i'm sure the forum moderators have these issues well under control.

good to see Lorenzo ripping up the tarmac in FP1 ....

I do find it amusing when people start getting concerned about rule breaking when manufacturers bring out their '2013' bike a year early. As long as the bike conforms to the rules of that particular season there is absolutely nothing wrong with it - in reality all they are doing is fast-tracking development. Besides, by the time the 2013 season comes along, the bike will have most likely been further developed and bare very little relationship with the one presented mid-way this season. The supposed 'year' of the bike is meaningless.

hell yea, go HRC

HRC flexing their muscles again. Well what can you say? maybe the only manufacterer that can do this? probably. As Redracer46 put it beautifully:

I never cease to be amazed by the sheer engineering might and brilliance of HRC. For all their faults in other areas, they really show the way here !!!

hear hear!!

ELBOWZ: Is this what Honda have to really throw a brand new bike to solve their chatter issue aren't they bending the rules a bit.

ermm...Its a prototype championship??? theres no rule stating teams CANNOT do this. Remember the GP11? 800cc engine in 2012 frame? Yamaha and Ducati are welcome to do it. Maybe Yamahas new title sponsor will allow them to throw as many chassis back at HRC..
