Valentino Rossi denies influencing Ducati on rider choice

Valentino Rossi has denied he is trying to influence Ducati to re-sign current factory team-mate Nicky Hayden over British rider Cal Crutchlow for next year’s MotoGP world championship. The 33-year-old, who kicked off practice for his home race at Mugello with the ninth fastest time, denied he had said that his preference would be to partner Hayden in 2013, should he...

he wants to tho

i find it funny how the only headline rossi now gets is because who is going to be his team mate for next season if he chooses to stay, dont think its a choice he can make or affect, not like he is top ducati is it! why would they listen to him now, after all the euro's wasted and paid out no wonder h ecan still smile as he dont give a fliyin fk anyways, his lap time prove that, cal would simply hand his ass to him on the duke, as hayden and othere are regularly doing.

Strange, but true.

Well, this is not the first time that he's lying. Fan boys will stay the same. It's a good thing that British people love him more than their own riders. Strange, but true.

Who cares, heard enough from moaned about who should be on the Honda and why not?? Work that one out. And Jorge with his anti Rossi clause. Rossi has said nowt but if he wanted to choose I'm sure he could. Anyone else still waiting for. Ickys total ass whopping to start?? Last time Iooked he'd dropped further behind Rossi despite being on top.. Work that out too. Rossis new totie in Ducati hospitality is a very nice. See twitter..

And Rossi has an option B?

Just what is Uncle Caramelo bar up to?

Of course Rossi wants Hayden over Crutchlow. He wants a bitch that knows his place and doesn't answer back.

This contract saga may be manifold. One sticking point could be the fact Rossi of course races for the glory of Rossi, to the detriment of teammates. Audi will be racing for the glory of the brand, and may well not offer Rossi his preferred first dibs on everything, lesser spec machine for team mates position.

Surprisingly, I actually believe him.

I don't think Rossi or anyone else in Bologna has much say on things these days - there is a new pay master in town in Audi. one would think "ze Germans" are combing through Ducati with a fine tooth comb at the moment and have the Italians on a tight rope at the moment. I would think once they have done all of their due dilligence they will make the decision if they are going to be the one calling ALL the shots or give them some slack to make some of their own decisions. That of course will be determined if Audi feels Ducati has bungled this whole MotoGP thing the last couple of years or not.

Shades of Yamaha here Rossi wanted Colin and Yamaha bought in Jorge a rider Vale did not want in the team. Of course its obvious he would like Nicky as a team mate its more of an ideal scenario for Rossi.

blood

If Audi are going to shell out big euros to keep Rossi, they'll want him as the lead rider.

Why? They don't need his money. And your point re-'beating your team-mate' ..............................applies to constructors too.
