You ask/You answer: I think my biking mates may be dangerous

For the last year I've been going out on rides with a group of people I got talking to at a local bike meet. To start with I didn't really see them because I was so slow that they just cleared off (I only passed my 18 months ago). But now I'm getting a bit quicker I've seen what looks like...

Dear Deirdre

I read this same letter in "Dear Deirdre" in The Sun last week. this is Deirdre's answer -

"The first thing that many top specialists now recommend to people with such sexual problems, particularly if they are 40 or over, is to stop smoking and follow a healthy, high-fibre, low-fat diet. Regular exercise can also benefit your sexual well-being.

Be careful though about excessive motorcycling, either on an exercise bike or a real one with a hard narrow saddle.

This can damage the main artery to the penis, which in turn causes problems with erections.

Sexual problems are often also linked with anxiety. If you have been suffering from a lot of tension or worry it will help you recover your sexual responsiveness if you can learn to relax more out of bed as well as in it.

If you feel your relationship is not close enough for you to begin loving and caressing one another as suggested, then that may be the problem causing the sexual failure".

I hope that helps.

Yes mate sure you are out with a few people you met at a bike meet , what in the pouring rain ok pal.

I ride in all weathers as it my transport to work every day and my pleasure at weekends.

6 of us ride weather it pouring down or sunny, If any of us fuck about like a twat we all say something to them.

its taken on board and it stops, then its back to  being mates.

Dont get me wrong we all like to ride fast but when there is very little traffic about

Ride out

If you feel you are not up to the level of ride they are doing best to stay out because you will become a danger yourself probably not only to yourself but others in the group.

Many years ago I used to ride as a courier you learn a lot about traffic doing this type of work, in fact probably more than any motorcycle rider will ever learn, for sure the cops on the bikes are good but they do have bikes that say police on them so everyone moves out the way I found this out when I purchased an ex police bike one year and used it for my work, funny how much respect you get when they think you are a police biker, how many cars make room for you, how many vans suddenly know what their mirrors are for.

Anyway have you considered using a helmet cam videoing the ride and then playing it back to them so thay can see how their ride went, perhaps they would notice the dangers they are putting them selves into if they saw it with their own eyes, on the other hand perhaps your lack of riding ability would which you state may be clouding your judgement and by watching the video you will see that they have it under full control and know exactly what they are doing.

So try the video and post it keeping number plates hidden of course so plod can't chase them down if they are doing anything stupid.

We all learn from our mistakes most are lucky and get a second  chance.
