WSBK how good is it
How good is it.
Think about it, BMW didn't have an i4 engine let alone a race team a few years back. Motogp want to know whats wrong with motogp easy peasy and BMW have just recently told them and shown them whats wot.
Sure BMW have sunk some dough into its WSBK assualt but its possible isnt it. Aprilia another noob made the a stunning comeback. Absolutely brilliant to see. Also nice to see Melandri doping so well after the whole ducati "you are a mental case Marco" BS.
Sure it does seem that whoever chucks in the most money will win it but hey at the moment its working, not just new teams, but new manufacturers coming in.
Just wish motogp would get their shit together.
Motogp to me seems to not only get it wrong but backwards. This is to say that the cost saving measures end up causing massive costs in other areas. Engine number limits, actually making an engines aint too bad, its the making an engine as powerful as possible plus longevity that costs the big dough. Fuel restriction, big dough making Hp with no fuel, plus the added fun, not, by boring dumbing down of 1000cc engines, stupid stupid stupid.
Prototype sure but make all the tech need to be adaptable to road bikes, no pnuematic valves, no corner by corner mapping. Then all the stuff they
use can trickle down to us and increases fan excitement and connection. Its also more likely to be tech that manufacturers like BMW, suzuki Kwaka, Aprilia, KTM, etc outside of motogp might already have some experience with making it easier and more tempting for them to enter motogp.
Electronics (you still see the difference between a good rider and an ok rider, its not like the bike rides itself with electronics) sure but stuff that manufacturers other than Yamaha and Honda will have already or can develop and utilise in their production bikes (great for sales).
Its not that hard for motogp they just have to look to WSBK for what to do.
Honda & Yamaha have pushed the technology so far into esoteric electronics and other areas that no other manufacturer can feasibly/economically develop or try to develop without craze costs and costs that can't be recouped through their business of selling bikes.
I want Suzuki, Kawasaki, BMW & Aprilia and more into motogp. Imagine how cool that would be. It sounds like bullshit when you look at all those manufacturers names but it has really happened in WSBK in just a few short years. Remember when WSBK was the just the ducati cup, only ducatis, not that long ago. It may end up that way anyway. If ducati goes, its just Yamaha & Honda, ZZzzzzzzzzzz.
Either that or swap the series around and make WSBK production bikes the top tier.
Oh yeah and please get WSBK on free to air TV to increase the fan base. Yay.
Go WSBK show them the way.
