US MotoGP: Valentino Rossi nearing future decision

Valentino Rossi says he will decide whether to stay with Ducati or make a shock move back to Yamaha in 2013 during the forthcoming short summer break. Speculation about Rossi’s future plans has hit fever pitch in California, particularly after Ben Spies dropped a bombshell earlier this week by announcing he will leave Yamaha at the end of the season. Rossi didn’t...

Jeez,I do hope Yamaha take Rossi on as their No.2 rider next season. He can leave Ducati, happy in the knowledge, that he`s turned a winning team into also-ran`s. And skint too ! And how long before he blame`s the bike, { again },for his woefully inadequate riding ? About 20 minute`s ? Lorenzo will piss all over him,now that the best rider in the world is retiring,he will become the No.1 boy, easily.                         Dani will be the second best,{ up one spot },but 3rd best could be a dogfight between Cal,if he goes Work`s Ducati, and Dovi on the Tech 3 Yammy. As for Nicky,well....he peaked year`s ago,I mean, 3 poxy win`s,2 at his home track and the other given to him by Colin,on the last corner on the last lap.Say`s it all really,he`s on the same level as his "team-mate".  You made the right choice Mr.Stoner, leave this sinking ship, that was once the pinnacle of bike sport. It`s fcked now, for good.

Rossis already done what Jorge and casey could only dream about at both Honda and yam. The duke is getting better more effort and less ego from presiozi and they could get there. If Ducati blow it off, and there is no doubt Rossi wants to stay. Then frankly it's all down to them... Rossi/JB is the best chance they'll ever get to be a major player, and let's face it with vag behind them they can no longer use the excuse that they are tiny compared to the japs. With the security the group brings come expectations of playing the same game as the big boys.. It's ducatis turn to step up.

Ducati's pedigree is sound

It is Rossi's ability to fight with the now mature and race savvy young guns which is in doubt. Well doubt in your mind Hardlylean - not in mine!

Totally agree with what you said. Ducati could have built a winning bike but there seems to be some hidden politics going on. I'd love to have seen Rossi winning on the Duke but it isn't going to happen.

NO. 1 rider become NO. 2 and eat his spit. get paycut more than half and maybe, maybe lorenzo would say, "separate that garage!" LOL.

Sorry but you can't use the 'Rossi thug racer' anymore, not after Stoner  showed us his true colours the other week. As usual with your comments, its double standards.
