I've bought clothing...

and other items from them a couple of times simply because I could get them interest free if I spent enough (over £500..00) Arlen Ness leather jacket,goretex pants,Hel brake lines,brembo brake pads,pair of crash bungs.....that'll be £501.50 Sir...or £50..15 now and the same for the next eight months by direct debit.:smile....I'm sure they'll continue to trade in some form or other,although probably won't have the 'buy now pay later' backing of Black horse.

are apparently holding an "everything must go" closing down sale - I can only assume they can't find a buyer for the business as a going concern.

Hein Gericke UK.

Bit harsh, Bikerbit. Just out of interest, what kit did you choose instead?

HG Everything Must Go...

received that email at 16:09 today.

Administrators are keeping shops open (at present) & having an everything must go sale!

as the bottom of the note says, HG went into Administration on the 30th of July!

@bikerbit: bit harsh that statement.

i always thought HG was for BMW Riders or those BABs with huge disposable incomes...

But, as i'm an all year / all weather rider & was commuting 80+ miles per day; i invested in a decent Goretex Suit, which was discounted over 50% & i have no  complaints about quality / wearability or weatherproofing! & it's seen everything that the Great British Weather can throw at it (Snow, Ice, Hale, Torrential Rain - everything!)

Need a decent Summer Suit now, think it's time ot get the plastic out!

20% off

Dropped in this afternoon. At the moment it's 20% off everything except helmets which are 10%. The staff haven't been given much information apart from that the administrators will be trying to sell the business as a going concern if they can - obviously that might still mean closures of some shops anyway - but they have countdown to closing day posters ready and waiting. Sad for our local branch staff who are a helpful and amiable enough bunch, and there's not that much in the way of alternatives round here, even if a lot of their stock's way out of my price range (even as one of those middle-aged BAB types).
