New Victory Boardwalk revealed

Victory has revealed the new Victory Boardwalk, which replaces the Kingpin in their cruiser range. The Boardwalk uses Victory's usual 1740cc air-cooled V-twin engine and runs on 16-inch wire wheels front and back. Whitewall tyres and a bigger, swoopy rear mudguard give the Boardwalk a more traditional look compared to Victory's other cruisers like the Hammer S. The new Boardwalk will be available in white...

Retro

@ snev – Well, Harley-Davidson has built a more modern cruiser in the V-Rod range, with the Porsche designed, 60° V, DOHC, 4-valve/cylinder, liquid-cooled Revolution engine and more modern styling. The H-D “purists” sniff at it, and the old look, old technology Sportsters and “Big-Twins” out-sell it many times over.

In general, the cruiser market cares about brand loyalty, retro/traditional appearance, sound, and feel far more than technology, performance, and even comfort.

Well, the link to the pictures of a corroding Victory says it all. Really, the new one looks no different to any of the previous ones. Mind you snev has a point; it's probably less embarrasing getting caught climbing off a fat ugly bird than it is getting off a Victory after a ride.....Can I put my name down for an Evo 6 in black ?

I love my MT-01. It's got the unique caracter of big pushrod, air-cooled V-twin engines but it's reliable, handles and looks good too :)
