T-shirt wearing bikers are STUPID & SELFISH!

On a regular basis I see bikers riding around in nothing more than t-shirts, shorts and trainers. Another combination would be a t-shirt with leather trousers and boots. What's the point in protecting just the lower half? It's as if when the weather's hot, certain selfish, stupid individuals think their skin is made out of kevlar. Yes, that's right, they're selfish. If they come off their bike, they'll cause untold chaos on the streets - not to mention the financial burden on the tax payer to clear up the mess and pick up the pieces. Don't give these people a friendly nod when you're on two wheels. They need to be made to feel as isolated as possible. Politely tell them at the lights to kit up properly. Can anyone actually justify not wearing proper protective kit? (Rant over.)

Re Preachers preunit

Yes 365 is correct actually. It's simple really, just wear summer motorcycle clothing during the summer. Jackets, body armour and trousers are fully vented and very comfortable to wear when it's hot. Give it a go and ride safe.

I pity

the people who,as unsafe as it maybe, have never throwen caution to the wind and enjoyed a jeans and tshirt ride on a scorcing summers day.

I dont do it often, and only at slow speeds however,it just feels terrific.

Its a personal view but sometimes taking a bit of a risk really makes you feel alive.

T-shirt wearing bikers

I have just returned from Spain where all the 'STUPID & SELFISH!' bikers have been refusing to wear full protective kit in 44 degree heat. Fools!

After 34 years of riding motorcycles I think I keep my own counsel on what I will or will not wear when riding my bike.  As if fighting the EU beaurocrats isn't enough do we really need people from within our own ranks giving them ammunition to erode our freedoms?  EU take note - THIS MAN DOES NOT REPRESENT ME.

YoungHomer - I'll make my own choices and show you sufficient respect to allow you to make yours.

I also wince when i see bikers clad in beachwear, but thankfully, at the moment in this country, the only stipulation for bikers is a lid. I'm certain in the future we will be regulated to within an inch of our lives, by the nanny state within which we live. thankfully we still have freedom of choice for the time being. Wear what you want..........IT'S YOUR CHOICE !!!!

I never do it myself

but how I'd love to!

And having had to look after somone who did get knocked off his bike wearing jeans and T shirt has put me off trying it forever. Disgusting mess, and never did get all the dried blood off my car seat and carpet.

Even so, I don't want to be told what I have to wear. I want to choose.

Anybody could easily draw conclusions about your abilities (or lack there of) and say you should abide by their personal rules only. Such a person would rightly be called an outright bigot.

You have an opinion about what you're talking about but choose not to see a full picture outside of you very very narrow point of view.

Your opinion is noted but utterly wrong. Now please go away and only talk to grown ups when you can make a coherent argument.
