Yamaha announce Rossi's return

Valentino Rossi will make a sensational return to the factory Yamaha MotoGP squad after signing a two year deal that will see him line up alongside bitter rival Jorge Lorenzo in 2013 and 2014. The move will see him reacquainted with the Japanese manufacturer where he enjoyed one of the most successful periods of his illustrious career. Rossi first rode for Yamaha...

Rossi

luckyskua and vtwinmark, I agree!!!!!!!!!! Rossi should go now and let someone else get on with it as he is doing nothing for Ducati. Now's the time for change, why wait any longer with Rossi just riding round and going nowhere! Ciao

Rumour has it that Ducati have already signed a contract with Dovi to replace Rossi in the factory team.

If true then it is one of the most ungentlemanly acts from a factory team for a long time. Having offered Crutchlow a contract and then failed to either deliver or cancel it they have left him hanging on for months and may have lost him the chance of signing for someone else or even staying at Tech 3 through the delays.

I hope that Dovi continues the miserable form of the Ducati in recent years and that Ducati suffer for their sculduggery :(

Cal has though narrowly escaped from the poison chalice, and could do a lot worse than stay where he is now.

nancy has left the red building

And so it is done. Good bye to any notion of titles with three diferent manufacterers!! ha!

Can we once and for all bury the idea that FLo and Co can develop bikes? FFS the Ducati fiasco has been nothing but utter failure for that clown , obviously the yellow panty brigade will say different.

Heres to Stoner coming back with Yamaha in a couple of years to rub it into Rossis face! ahaha ouch! 3 titles on 3 makes ...yes please!

Adrenalin, the Ducati is the most powerful bike on the grid. They just cant get the right balance on how to deliver the power, which results in shit handling and a rear rubber that dies far to early. At LS they even reduced the power in the lower rev range to enable longevity for the rear. "Having offered Crutchlow a contract and then failed to either deliver or cancel it" Please provide the link to evidence that one was 'offered' as you say. I dont expect to see a link ! If they had offered him one, he would have grabbed it with both hands, and then probably dropped it.

"Rossi move back to Yamaha is a bitter blow to Ducati who have now lost their greatest asset. Rossi’s original move to Ducati two years ago was billed as a dream partnership, but in reality it has been a nightmare."

Two sentences with more than a little contradicition.

Development kings

Let's get the correct, Rossi/Burgess are the development kings if they are listen to. The idiots at Ducati never listened and thought they knew best. Honda showed how shit they were by bringing out 2 heavily revised bikes, in the same time that Ducati brought out a faulty ECU, they are a fcking joke.

"I admire him for taking the risk because there are so many people in life who are afraid of failure and look back and say "I could have, might have and should have"."

I too admire people for taking risks but in this case Rossi didn't actually think he was taking one... the Stoner's not trying jibes & 80 second fix debacle show how much of a risk he & his team thought it was... a grossly underestimated risk.

You can brag that you can sink 10 pints of Stella but when you fall on the floor after only 7 they'll deservedly be takin the piss out of you till xmas.
