Yamaha announce Rossi's return

Valentino Rossi will make a sensational return to the factory Yamaha MotoGP squad after signing a two year deal that will see him line up alongside bitter rival Jorge Lorenzo in 2013 and 2014. The move will see him reacquainted with the Japanese manufacturer where he enjoyed one of the most successful periods of his illustrious career. Rossi first rode for Yamaha...

Coca Cola

I put a post on here months ago re Rossi returning to Yam with Coca Cola sponsorship - I'd heard it word of mouth somewhere and thought it was just a rumour!

Ridgey = bitter?

At least Rossi had a stab at it. Trying and failing at something should't bring shame should it? Sadness yes, regrets maybe? But its the taking parts and trying that counts. Shame that one particular rider who is in his prime, at the top of his game is turning his back on the sport...

I hate to break it to you but Stoner ain't coming back sunshine and if he does it wont be for a season.

Here's to Rossi at least attempting to win a couple more championship to tally it up to 11 compared to Stoner's 2 .

Wrong Chris!

Trying and failing is fine if you do it without mouthing off about another rider not giving it his all, slating his team, his ability... and that's BEFORE you've even sat on the fkn bike!

Describing the Flo/Duc debacle as a failure is the understatement of the decade.

Stoner on a Yamaha WOW.

Stoner on a Yamaha love to see that I've always said that 3 titles on 3 bikes just to rub salt into Rossi perfect.

Too much politics involved in MotoGP any wonder why Ben decided to pack in a top ride here is one answer the fear of losing his ride to Rossi.

Haha I remember reading your post as I thought you was one of my army pals. Rang him and obviously it wasn't. Remember that though. Read it on twitter a fair bit too that's why I'm wondering ?

Rossi

Agree with Chrisb970......Really couldn't care less about him winning on 3 different makes of machine. Its just another statistic as far as I'm concerned. Moto GP  desperately needs to bring back close racing, and this should certainly help. He had a  punt at it on the Duke, it didnt work. He's gone back to the best bike out there. A bike that he built. And he'll probably start winnning again.

I agree with what you're saying but Rossi and his team still must of known it was a risk. Every big decision is life is a risk and to go from a well sorted Yamaha to the Duke was a risk. In order to be successful in life you have to believe in what you do and the decisions you make and in this case Rossi and his team obviously believed they could be competitive on it but it hasn't paid off.

Everyone makes mistakes with the best of intentions (I've done it myself) and in this case it was a bad mistake to consider the Ducati was a quick and easy fix. He's got the T-shirt (Another to fail at Ducati) he will be embarrassed but this will soon all be in the past and the 2013 season will be here and he can move on to new things. At least he has come away with the T-shirt than to always wonder what if?

Rsix / Sindy

Ha - thanks!

BTW, this is the best news I've heard since Sindy from Eastenders made a comeback to Corro.

Looking a bit of an old slapper now though.....
