Casey Stoner slams Valentino Rossi’s Yamaha return

Casey Stoner has criticised Valentino Rossi’s swift return to Yamaha after the Italian legend recently confirmed he will quit Ducati after a disastrous two-year stint with the Bologna factory. The 33-year-old has been a shock failure to perform on board a factory Desmosedici and will return to Yamaha next season to partner bitter Spanish rival Jorge Lorenzo. When Rossi arrived at Ducati...

The Truth Hurts

At least Rossi tried, and he's stood up in front of everyone and admitted defeat. There's a lot of truth in what Stoner is saying, and he's obviously smug about the whole deal.

But Stoner's reaction is very "Nelson HaHa" from The Simpsons!

It's a shame we wont see Rossi and Stoner battling up front next season!

I'm loving the hypocrisy

of the Rossi fans. Pretending that the last two years never happened and that Valentino hasn't spent that time first bad-mouthing Casey then making feeble excuses as to his own failure is a monumental re-writing of history. Casey is more than entitled to say this after the bollocks that Rossi said about him, enthusiastically supported by MCN and the rest of the Euro press. Just because you're gullible enough to lap it up doesn't make him wrong.

Straight talking

Stoner is a typical Australian.

He calls it as he sees it and has sporting fair play ingrained in his core.

The same can definitely not be said for Rossi.

reminds me of a kid hiding behind a wall and shoutin insults at someone, hes leavin the building and knows he wont have to face rossi on a sorted yamaha and he wont have to back the insults up. as for ducati, stoner had front end issues that ducati would not address, hayden has them, melandri etc and rossi  as well, its about time ducati woke up and fixed these issues properly, tinkering wont solve it,hayden says hes using the same frame since start of the year, and it needs fixed ,honda are on about the fourth or fifth frame, and third new bike due anyday soon, updates from ducati take nearly a whole season,if they want to win at this level again they better get somone in that can manage development and make it happen.they have had the same front end issue for 4 or 5 years.,and prezzi wont change his mind set and cant fix it, off with his head.. why should flossi stay if they wont address it properly,he wants to fight for wins, thats what racers do

Well put Mr Stoner

Hats off for Stoner! Rossi has been shown up and it stings. He thought too highly of himself and too many softc*cks believed his sh!t .. Sorry filly46! As for politics in MotoGp, Stoner saw through all the crap and called time on it. Good on ya mate!
