Casey Stoner slams Valentino Rossi’s Yamaha return

Casey Stoner has criticised Valentino Rossi’s swift return to Yamaha after the Italian legend recently confirmed he will quit Ducati after a disastrous two-year stint with the Bologna factory. The 33-year-old has been a shock failure to perform on board a factory Desmosedici and will return to Yamaha next season to partner bitter Spanish rival Jorge Lorenzo. When Rossi arrived at Ducati...

Rossi is the most polarising character

Lots of emotional posts on here mirroring Caseys comments.

I just wonder whether or not Stoner has showed he cares just a little too much. I was really surprised with these comments from Stoner I knew things and people get to him but I never thought he was affected this badly.

Personally I think the comments are poor form but on the other hand wow what an insight into Casey's mentality.

Casey took Ducati backwards..

Stoner and his fans seem to have overlooked the huge leap in performance the Jap bikes made, especially the Honda, from 2010 to 2011. We know why this was..HRC needed to win the final 800 season to save face.

So while Rossi's results on the CF bike looked worse in terms of where he finished in 2011, compared to Casey in 2010, most of the time he was actually going faster..without crashing.

Casey has said the Bridgestone tyres got consistently worse once they got the spec contract.

These are the plain facts of the matter, conditions and bias aside.

It is not normal for a rookie factory rider in only his second top class year to win the title by such a margin, then post steadily worse results over the following 3 years, no more titles and lower finishing positions in the standings.

Why? Was this down to Stoner, Ducati or circumstances?

Thing is..after inheriting a missile at Honda, the same thing is happening again.

To all those who think Casey would still be winning if at Ducati on the CF bike..you're fkin dreaming.

spin it however you like mate, faster laps and race finishes in the grand scheme of things mean sweet FA when compared to the stats that matter:

Stoner - 1 title 23 wins
Rossi - 0 titles 0 wins

These are the plain facts of the matter, conditions and bias aside.

And yes I do know the reason behind the Honda's performance increase in 2011....THEY HIRED STONER!! Remove him from the equation and JL and Yamaha take the title even missing the last 3 races of the god damn year.

It is not normal for a rookie factory rider....fuck me if you haven't worked out by now that Stoner (and Lorenzo mind you) don't fall into the 'normal rider' category then you never will.

Take your blinkers off son..

As stated..this is what is in the book.

Care to explain how Casey smashed Lorenzo last year and this year, is not only behind him but his team mate too?

The floodgates will open...

Not sure what's so surprising about Stoners comments! He's said much the same several times and even fkn Helen Keller can see the evidence to support those comments.

If your feelings are hurt now, wait until he (and Spies) decide to unload on Florences little circlejerk club of Ezpeleta, Jarvis and co.

Rumours suggest the goat that gets rimmed at the initiation ceremony isn't really a goat!? Hahahaha...
