Dovizioso good choice for Ducati, says Hayden

Nicky Hayden believes Andrea Dovizioso is the best possible choice to replace fellow Italian Valentino Rossi in Ducati’s factory MotoGP squad in 2013. Dovizioso is close to agreeing a deal to ride a Desmosedici GP13 and an announcement is likely to be made by the Bologna factory during next weekend’s Czech Republic MotoGP round in Brno. Dovizioso is understood to have told...

Stay put cal

Perfect for Mr Crutchlow, stay at Tech 3 and build on this years sterling job no real threat from next years team mate "sorry smithy just dont see you cutting the mustard on a gp bike" then for 2014 there is the option of Haydens seat at Ducati if Audi cash has solved the problems or if Suzuki return as promised there will be 2 seats up for grabs and lets face it that last 800 wasnt far of the pace so dont expect the thou will be either.

Keep up the good work and lets have some podiums to end the year hope you been practicing your starts in the summer break

Fraid not.

Recent quote from Dovi regarding his move to Ducati: "I've never been the lead rider before."

As the guy with recent experience of other factory machinery and an ITALIAN, Dovi will be the guy all the technicians will be listening to. Count on it.

The best thing about this Hayden for the first time since 2006 is lead rider in a team. Ducati could be a team to watch assuming Audi means business with them.

Dovi & Hayden

Lets face it, the only agressive riding style rider in the paddock that could coax regular top 4 positions for the Duke is Cal. Hayden does not want him in the team because he is faster, meaner and more  focussed than the american and he will get whupped again.

Dovi will struggle on the Duke and be down in 10th every race. He is a journeyman money focussed loser. If you thought Casey and Rossi were moaners you wait and see next year from Dovi. If he makes it past the second round without a serious strop then I'm a dutchman.

Agree with comments. At the beginning of the season the talk was how hard it would be for Cal to hang on to the Tech3 ride. Well a year is a long time in bike racing. He has the Tech3 ride standing on his head - keep it, better than a second string Ducati. I don't think Ducati know how to make a MotoGP bike. They shine in WSB because they are given an unfair advantage by the Italian WSB owners and always will be.

Also Nicky don't forget he also took your Repsol Honda ride so you will want to prove a point by beating him.
