Yamaha: Lorenzo wanted Spies and not Rossi as 2013 team-mate

Yamaha has admitted that Jorge Lorenzo made it clear his priority was to keep struggling Texan Ben Spies as his factory Yamaha team-mate in 2013 and not bitter rival Valentino Rossi. Lorenzo and Rossi will renew their intense rivalry again next season after the Italian signed a two-year deal to return to Yamaha after a wretched spell with Ducati. Yamaha management spoke...

Seperate issues

Jarvis and Yamaha needed Rossi back for whatever. Rossi wanted to be back with them as early as day 1 Valencia test 2011. Neither will admit it,but its come to pass. Ben's 50/50 his fault/Yamaha's fault is incidental. Stoner has squat to do with it. Dovi was the big loser behind the scenes.

Back to topic and what Lorenzo wants is clearly not what he gets. Thats Rossi's domain and Jarvis gets what he wants. 'carefull what you wish for Lin,you probably just got it'. As did del Torchio and Marlboro back then in 2010. Foundations laid circa mid 2009.

Let's see how Valencia testing 2012 goes

Christ almighty?

Jarvis and Yamaha needed Rossi back for whatever..Plenty of insight there Bootlegger?

Do you guys all get together at fucko night skool and practice the art of being dim?

Do your research and stop getting offended when real fans of the sport point out your twisted and bitter agenda has glaring holes or is just plain make believe.

Here's a starter for Ten..

Reiterate.

Rossi back at Yamaha for whatever. All apologies Wosi. It sure as hell was not based on merit viz a viz stats over the past 2 years. Jarvis and yourself can cut that mustard any which way you choose.

Good old scapegoat = Ducati. Were Rossi not the topic, neither would Ducati.

Take heart. Next year will be laid out as clear as daylight come Valencia testing 2012.

Bootlegger..

No it isn't..but if you think that is the only criteria that should apply you are being naive and all the moody pissing and whining in the world, won't change that.

Rossi is a class act, has an outstanding track record with Yamaha, he brings commercial interest that may help them secure the title sponsor they have lacked for the last two years and on track the chances are he'll be as fast as anyone who hasn't already got a factory bike.

It makes perfect sense to every body in the paddock who matters both from a business and sporting perspective..but all the sorry arsed Rossi haters would rather ANYTHING else happen but this, making up fk witted conspiracy theories and fairytales to support their hurt and dismay.

Well get fkin used to it..

PS. My pleasure for the link. It's a shame more from here don't do a bit more reading. Perhaps we could leave some of the slagging to one side and have some informed debate about bike racing?

Great prospect....Rossi back on a bike he understands, with Jerry there to add the final touch of magic; let the show commence.

Dovi would have done a great job, but in all honesty Rossi has such global appeal that he was always going to get first refusal.

I usually only read the shenanigans that develope on this forum without comment, save for a quiet chuckle/ guffaw .But I can see it now, Rossi riding to team orders to help Lorenzo secure the title. The claiming the credit for Lorenzo's world title!!!! He couldn't do without him!!! Hahahahah, bollucks!
