Tech 3 Yamaha thrilled to field all-British MotoGP line-up

Monster Yamaha Tech 3 boss Herve Poncharal says he is thrilled to be entering the 2013 MotoGP world championship with an all-British line-up featuring Cal Crutchlow and Bradley Smith. Crutchlow has penned a new one-year deal to stay with the French squad after his dream move to Ducati’s factory squad collapsed after lengthy discussions. Smith will graduate from Poncharal’s Tech 3 Racing...

Should of gone to WSB

I really don't understand why cal has stayed in motogp, the so called pinnical of bike racing. This year the racing has being awful, not 1 close finish for the win, Why can't riders see we need a British wsb rider to win the title and stay and defend it, not run to the boarding motogp paddock. A defending champ in wsb would see interest increase massively and due to all the great racing at nearly every race it would draw more none bike fans in. Bad move cal, another year battling for 3rd place at races, you could win the wsb champ and spend your career chasing foggys record 4 titles, sounds better than your prospects in motogp!

Can't argue with you there mate from previous few years but Tom the grinner Sykes qualifying performances and some of jonny rea's performances on a slower machine give some hope, If 1 of them could put it consistently together u never know, would love to see 120,000 at brands again!

Huggydave what planet have you been on? We've had Brits win and do well in WSB since it began and what has it actually done for them? no any added tv coverage or newspaper pages, not a BBC Sports personality award, even 2nd billing in MCN if there's any motogp news to report. WSB has always been the easy one to get into and do well in, we had 6 riders in there a few years ago . Are you suggesting that Bradley Smith and Scott Redding are wasting their time bothering with their current career paths and that they should be chasing Foggies record. That would be like telling all the British footballers to get out of the Premiership and back to the league championship cos Sheffield Wednesday won the cup 3 times in the 80's. Why would they do it. Why don't you ask the current crop of Brit WSB riders which they would prefer? to be 3rd in Motogp on a satellite bike or win WSB rounds. Which stage do you think Biaggi would prefer to be on? One last thought, next time you are watching Motogp on tv check out just how much coverage Cal is getting during the race. The only real problem with Motogp at the moment is theres not enough factory bikes to go round for our boys to do the business

Yeah

huggydave would be nice to see a Brit challenging for the title again.
Think your right Sykes and Rea are the best hopes.
Cant understand Haslam going to Honda as the bike seems to struggle these days compared to the others.
Reckon if Rea had a better bike under him he could do it.

Whys Ben spies leaving then, he prob could of easily got on a tech3 or gresini Honda if he'd of wanted, and the gap between wsb and motogp racings got nothing to do with sodding football, and if you think the only problem with motogp is there isn't enough factory bikes to go around your on another planet mate, wsb is the better spectacle and a British rider defending a championship would generate more interest, When have you seen 2 factory bikes finish within half a second of each other in gp this year, no problems, my arse!
