Cal Crutchlow takes maiden podium in Brno thriller

Cal Crutchlow ended a 12-year wait for a British rider to score a MotoGP podium after he took third place in this afternoon’s Brno MotoGP race. The Monster Yamaha Tech 3 Team rider finished behind a thrilling scrap between Spanish duo Dani Pedrosa and Jorge Lorenzo, which Pedrosa won after an enthralling last lap. See what happens

when you make a decent start - you go get yourself a podium. Well done Cal. More of the same and he'll be back in front of Dovi in the championship.

must be a very happy chappy with Dovi and Cal continually bagging podiums for Tech 3 at consecutive rounds. That's about as good as it gets in a satellite team.

I think the most impressive thing about Cal's ride today was his consistently quick pace and lack of mistakes. And an actual, honest-to-god good start. Amazing.

Mr Crutchlow is beginning to look like a proper MotoGP rider.

Good race

Well done Cal, good race and for once a bit of excitement at the front. What was noticeable though was when they interviewed JL, even though he was beaten into 2nd place, he was still smiling and said that Dani rode a better last lap. The was no bottom lip in the gutter, no moaning about the bike, the tyres or that he was feeling tired, like one bucktooth orange moaner would have done.

Plus 1 fireballxl5. Great ride cal good battle. Ben and Rossi should swap bikes..soft tyre sure makes a difference as we saw at laguna. But why oh why is it good for race distance??? If motogp want tyres with extra grip early on and wear later in the race then bs is the wrong company..

Dani boy, Dani boy..

He might be five foot nothing and weigh four fifths of fuck all, but today that was one hundred percent huge gonads. Well done to all the podium placers today, you were all spectacular. Thanks for the entertainment and the memories. Nostro had a ball sticking it to the yellow shirts.

Cal

Cal rode great , has he has done all year .But the start made the difference I think as someone said earlier , and Pedrosa was brillaint , as was Lorenzo and Spies cant get any less luck without just dying on the grid.
