Cal Crutchlow elated with maiden MotoGP podium

Cal Crutchlow could barely contain his delight after he became the first British rider in 12 years to stand on a MotoGP rostrum in yesterday’s Czech Republic clash in Brno. A stunning third place behind dominant Spanish duo Dani Pedrosa and Jorge Lorenzo saw the 26-year-old become the first British rider on a MotoGP podium since Jeremy McWilliams took third at...

superb performance

Fantastic, I hope it is the first of many. In fact it was the best motogp race I've seen in a long time. Cal being on the podium iced the cake.

Great ride from Cal, with Stoner out for a while, Cal might grab another that'll shut the critics up.

Go Cal.... of the best British GP riders since we had champions...imagine him on a full factory set up - Dovi tendeded to block / hold him up so that start was invaluable...depending on how Marquez starts and Bradl develops in 2013 alongside Rossi on a Yam, podiums may be even harder next year but Cal has it in him...

now is the time

stoner out, rossi still slow, other riders worried about rides they have for next year that will be slow, id say cal is in a good seat right now. best of luck to him and his british bulldog attitude. hope ginger boy can follow him at least for a few laps next year and redding does get a ride he deserves it more than most the spanish and italian failures.still the youngest grand prix winner.

A very big result for Cal. Not so much the podium finish that impressed me, but for keeping his concentration and aggression in check  with Dovi on his tail for the whole race. Too many times this season he's 'caved in'. It was great to see. Well done.

Faster Sat Bikes

I hope that the Yamaha keeps the Tech3 Satellite bikes just as fast relative to the factory bikes next year. Looking at the results it looks good for Yamaha to have so many of its bikes up there in the results. Having fast satellite bikes also doesn't seem to take anything away adversely affect the factory bikes and riders.
