Casey Stoner’s crew heading back to Ducati with Andrea Dovizioso?

Casey Stoner’s factory Honda crew could be heading back to Ducati in 2013 to work with Andrea Dovizioso.Talks are on-going about the Australian’s crew, led by Italian Cristian Gabbarini, moving back to the Ducati factory they left at the end of 2010 when Stoner joined Repsol Honda.Stoner, who is currently out of action with a serious right ankle injury, will...

Well,I think everyone knows!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rossi has lost the plot and everyone knows that he can't ride the Desmo!! Fact!! Stoner can, and would have put the bike on the podium and probably won some races for sure whilst Rossi has been pussy footing about and coasting round!! The sooner he goes to Yamaha the better!! Will be a laugh if he can't do anythung there either!!! Lol!!! Ciao

Things are on the up for Ducati, especially if they can bring in Honda know how. Things cant get any worse thats for sure. Rossi championship wins 2013 and 2014. You heard it here first, get your money on it.

Stoner fans blow GOAT's..

Rossi taken the bike backwards?..Rossi can't ride the Ducati as fast as Casey?..Casey would have won/podiumed on the Ducati?

Old parallel universe wosi has been pointing out to the fluffy orange sheep for some time now that Rossi is every bit as fast as Stoner was..it's just the competition has moved on and gotten even faster.

Let us not forget..Ducati would still have a CF monocoque bike if not for the pressure exerted by the Italian. The same bike Casey begged to have early in 2008, that Gabbarini could do nothing with and that was responsible for Corse having to rip it up and start again.

Stoner has said he never got what he asked for so left. Conveniently, he refuses to specify what it was he asked for and didn't get. It's heresay. Casey's word. Has Gabbarini gone on record to clarify, as you might expect from a Crew chief..NO.

Ducati have..and say that the Australian got everything he wanted, he just never asked for anything.

Brno 2010: Stoner podiumed with a third place. His race time was 43'34.064 and his fastest lap was a 1'58.121 which was slower than Tom Sykes' pole on the Kawasaki a month ago.

Brno 2012: Rossi finished 7th, his race time was 43'26.084 and his fastest lap was a 1'57.363.

Now..I appreciate things aren't exactly like for like but, it does illustrate that Rossi is plainly faster finishing lower than Stoner was, finishing higher.

Wosi has posted race times and fast laps from early 2011 which say exactly the same thing. Rossi was faster than Stoner on the 800 and this was when the bikes they rode were very similar. These are facts that are in the record book for all to see..but for some it is too hard to digest so is dismissed as a lie.

Stoner fell off that bike 5 times in the races 2010 all by himself pushing too hard, yet Rossi stayed on and was faster?

Gabbarini and Stoner apparently fixed the bike towards the end of 2010. Three wins prove it..yeah?

They used parts to change the set-up that had been on the shelf all season and previously ignored, as the magic cure. Why weren't they used earlier? Stoner's favourite trick is winning races at the end of the year, out of contention, nothing to lose while others battle to secure a title riding safely. It don't fkin count suckers.

Gabbarini and Stoner have taken the RCV backwards this year too, unable to sort chatter issues while Pedrosa has tried a multitude of new parts that have seen his bike improve.

Give them a nice new bike that they haven't had the opportunity to put their stamp on and things are fine.

Ask them to improve the bike with intelligent changes that work after they get to spend some time on it, and it all goes to shit.

The record book and results do not lie.

Gabbarini has only ever taken his bikes backwards and Casey Stoner will never win back to back titles as a result.

Our good Reverend is welcome to borrow wosis knee-pads..he'll need them putting overtime in at the prayer box for Dovi if this move comes off.

Wosi....

So if Stoner was still on the Ducati, would he be qualifying a whole second behind Hayden (and behind a CRT bike)? out qualified by Barbera on his home circuit? I think not...

"Stoner's favourite trick is winning races at the end of the year, out of contention, nothing to lose while others battle to secure a title riding safely"... Winning round 13 and 14 of an 18 round series is not the end of year...there were still 125 points and 3 riders in contention for the title, so who was riding safely?...Going by what you say, if Rossi wins the rest of the races, they won't count, 'cos Lorenzo and Pedrosa are concentrating on the title....ok

How many parts has Rossi tried/discarded tried again (alloy swingarm?) and how many dead ends have the developement dream team gone down? The Honda didn't look backwards at Laguna and was on the pace in Indy...so where's the backward developement?

I should have mentioned

The chief Statistician in Rossiville is Wosihound. His method is the same every time. Take some completely disparate figures and mesh them together to somehow prove his boy is fast finishing seventh.

Two years on and two hundred cc's more - you'd bloody well hope so too Wosi. Makes you wonder just how fast a fit Stoner could go on that 2012 Duke with Sykes' one lap special qually rubber.

Wosi, good effort..

..but it still doesn't explain why it's taken over a year and a half, with supposedly the best minds on the job, to reach the point of where Ducati are now? - You can hold on to the suggestion that Casey took the development of the bike backwards or ramble on about time comparisons. It still doesn't answer why Rossi and Burgess have FAILED spectacularly to deliver a competitive bike?...
