Casey Stoner’s crew heading back to Ducati with Andrea Dovizioso?

Casey Stoner’s factory Honda crew could be heading back to Ducati in 2013 to work with Andrea Dovizioso.Talks are on-going about the Australian’s crew, led by Italian Cristian Gabbarini, moving back to the Ducati factory they left at the end of 2010 when Stoner joined Repsol Honda.Stoner, who is currently out of action with a serious right ankle injury, will...

Fact: Between 2006 - 2012, head-to-head Stoner has outperformed your little demi-god Rossi in all measures including:

race wins

podiums

poles

fastest laps

overall points

That is why the Wosi's of the world have nothing better to do than slag off a world class rider. They can't stand the facts.

Run for cover..

Twarty Vagitis has broken out.

Let this be a lesson to all who wear their orange pop bottle bottom glasses to make their world look a brighter place than it actually is..it can be dangerous to health, ravaging perspective and inducing blind panic.

CBR11X..How many of your precious stats are lifted from 2007 & 2011, when Stoner was on a new bike before Gabbarini got his hands on it? Rossi beat Stoner in 3/5 800 seasons and spare me the orange tears about slagging pal..have you checked the shit you type?

CHR..I thought it was up to Ducati to engineer and deliver the bike and Rossi to ride it? You don't think the manufacturer has any responsibility? (read above on the dangers)

Nostro..Typical lazy response. These are Tissot's figures son..not wosi's. Nothing is stitched. Hard to swallow I know. So you still think Stoners CF bike would have somehow morphed into a title chalenging 1000 with Gabbarini using mackled up old 800 bits? Must hurt that Casey was slower than a Kawasaki Superbike when you've been telling anyone silly enough to listen that he was as fast on the Ducati as the 2011 RCV.

vtwinmark..Lorenzo won the title by 138pts and had it in the bag by round 15. Round 13 & 14 was the end of his year and he was trying to win a championship. It was the start of Casey's and if you can't see the difference mate..take the fkin blinkers off. If Stoner and Gabbarini haven't put a hex on the RCV..explain last seasons results compared to 2012 and how Stoner is third in the standings and was third before he hurt himself because of the pressure Lorenzo and Pedrosa had put him under?

Ha ha Bloodbubble

By christ that's an Oompa Loompa comment if ever I've read one but his character flaws have stopped him winning more titles.

Mate, you're going to need a better bit of back up ammo for that ridiculous assertion that a new hat and old marshalls.

In classic Wosi form he contradicts himself within two paragraphs. Stoner and Gabbarini were supposedly responsible for developing the Duke backwards, but during Rossi's tenure Corse are responsible for not developing the bike forwards. Ha ha Wosi, you continue to tie yourself in contorting knots. All the consistency and credibility of a politician.

Honda developing backwards...

It still amazes me how a bike that has scored 7 wins out of the 12 rounds so far this year could be considered to be being developed backwards... Stoner's Honda has won 4, Dani's 3, (JL's Yamaha 5)... logic vacuum... a good job well done.

More hollow words without basis BB

How do you know these things have affected him on track? Racers are extremely good at focusing on the job at hand. There's really not a lot of room in the old grey matter processing dept to think about anything else than hitting your braking marker and slamming down the box 4 gears from 250kmph+.

Fragile psyche is merely your perception. I maintain he's as hard as they come. Stick and stones....me old china. Words mean squat.

Once again you're applying your criteria to the makeup of Stoner. As he's said repeatedly he's in this game for the mega adrenaline hit of the win. It the wins come, so will the titles, he's bagged two of them in the last six years so I'm inclined to believe his method works just fine.

What else you got Blood?

If the shoe fits..

Again Nostro's simplistic reasoning defies common sense..and from a man who is happy to tell us his racing pedigree and really should know better.

It's convenient that Rossi and Burgess are now to blame? No mention of Ducati? In fact there has been staunch defense of Preziosi and his CF bike. Stoner is completely absolved of taking the bike in the wrong direction with backward facing results? Stoner would still be winning on it?..Bollocks.

What was it that Stoner and Gabbarini asked for they didn't get that Casey tells us is central to his decision to quit Ducati? He WILL NOT go on record when asked. Gabbarini is silent. Why?

Ducati say he got what he asked for and when questioned 'What do you need,' mumbled.."It's fine as it is.."

They apparently left Rossi a competitive bike? Why couldn't they figure out the right combination of parts and settings earlier if there were NO new parts available? Nothing amiss there?

How come Preziosi was happy to hand the reins over to Furusawa, sacrificing his position?

Rossi and Burgess were hired at great expense and largely ignored. They tried to point Ducati in the right direction but were met with intransigence and a lack of commitment. This is far more than the previous incumbents who offered nothing. They all basked in the glow of Casey's talent to ride around issues, because he didn't have a clue what a good bike felt like, and couldn't be bothered to put the hard yards in. They were lazy and complacent..some things never change.

A bit like Nostro..

Why's Stoner quitting?

Shirley that's been well documented BB. But in essence it's because of the inconsistencies of political spin doctors like Wosi.

Ha ha you have to be kidding right?

...which is why casey does nothing but cry at the slightest opportunity and was so upset at the comments of a few people in the Ducati garage a few years back that he's quitting the sport. Its not BB's perception, its the perception of the racing public in general. stoner is fragile and overly sensitive, always has been. Laguna 09!

...you can cut it up any way you like but stoner isn't leaving because he wants to, he's leaving because he has to, and not just because of the fragility. No more 800's, no more stiff front Bridgestones = no more titles. Game over. The one trick pony goes home.
