Jorge Lorenzo: No number one at Yamaha in 2013

Jorge Lorenzo has denied he will be Yamaha’s clear number one rider in 2013 with preferred treatment over rival Valentino Rossi. The Spaniard will renew hostilities with Rossi from inside Yamaha’s factory garage after the nine-times world champion penned a two-year deal to be back on a YZR-M1 next season. There has been plenty of debate in the paddock about how Rossi...

Next Year !

Next year will be very interesting ! Jorge Lorenzo will be the man to beat,so who will be his biggest threat ?

Dani - Yes,Dani will be a very big threat & probably Jorges main rival. The guy has really stepped up his game since Casey announced his retirment.Filling a Casey sized gap in the Top Honda team is a tall order, but fair play to Dani he really is doing an exellent job.As long as he stays healthy he will be consistantly battling with Jorge & he is a force to be reckoned with when uninjured.

Mark Marquez - Unknown quantity in Moto GP but 125 / Moto 2 performances speak volumes about this guys ability.Just like Jorge I think he will be very fast straight away but give him a year to gain the experience needed to win a championship. Then he will be very dangerous & could dominate Moto GP for years to come but he will never have an easy ride with Jorge & Dani ready to mug him every race.Alternativly he could under acheive & not live up to the hype,we will have to wait & see.

Rossi - Rossi will drasticly improve being back on a factory Yamaha,he has to or else his reputation is finished.I think he is still an exellent rider & he will give it his all to beat Jorge.I dont think he will,Jorge is to strong for him to beat,on track & mentally.Rossi is a legend but nobody stays on top of theyre game forever & Rossi has stayed on top of his for a long time up untill know.I expect Rossi to finish between 3rd or 5th in the championship next year which will be a big improvment from this year.

Nice Post

YamahaGYTR - Very well said mate,I do think that Marc Marquez could turn out to be an exeptional rider though.I did think the same about Ben though, such a shame & I really do mean that.I thought like you he would exel, truth is nobody knows,we just have to wait & see.

P.S. I hope Ben has a great season next year that makes up for this years bad luck.

Thanks for the compliment Lorenzo99 appreciate it :)

As for Ben all things remain uncertain what he is doing next year I just hope he finds a good ride whether it be in MotoGP or WSBK.

Ben

Ben will bounce back Im sure, wether it be Moto GP or WSBK.The guy is extremly talented, you dont win WSBK as a rookie with out an extreme amount of talent.Maybe WSBK is the way to go for Ben but Im sure he will still do well if he desides to stay in Moto GP with Gresini.

Lorenzo99 if Ben does sign with Gresini then I hope he gets the factory kit like the late Simoncelli did.

Exelent Question !

thestig08 - Good Question ! & a very difficult one to answer.I would have to go with Hayden as I feel his style of riding is more suited to the Ducati, however he does tend to wear his tyres out quickly & so fades in the later part of a race.Dovi on the other hand is super smooth & may be able to preserve his tyres better.

    Bollock ! I dont know !
