Poll: What's Jonathan Rea going to do on Stoner's Honda?

British World Superbike star Jonathan Rea will ride Casey Stoner's factory Honda at the Misano and Aragon MotoGPs in the next few weeks while the Aussie recovers from surgery. So how excited should we be? pollcomment

Aragon test - Day 1

1 – Dani Pedrosa (Honda) 1 ' 47,983 (18 laps)

2 – Jorge Lorenzo (Yamaha) 1 ' 48,471 (15 laps)

3 – Ben Spies (Yamaha) 1 ' 48,647 (31 laps)

4 – Stefan Bradl (Honda) 1 ' 49,570 (26 laps)

5 – Jonathan Rea (Honda) 1 ' 51,410 (19 laps)

Circuit Record Lap: 2011 Casey STONER 1'49.046  Best Lap: 2011 Casey STONER 1'48.451 (Pole)

The lack of mileage is a bit surprising. Rea closes the gap a lttle but the lap is slightly longer than Brno.

Must be a few riders questioning why Rea has got a HRC ride for a couple of rounds ?.

He is lucky the rookie rule was removed.......

Going by Wosi's lap time chart ( cheers ) , Rea could be a wolf in sheeps clothing , so watch out Tech3 boys and the rest of the sat teams......

He's already faster than the crt's, i would imagine he would be racing against the ducatis or spies depending on which ducati's and spies turn up.

Comparison is difficult but, for example, Cal's best lap in the race last year on the 800 was a 51.1

Rea hasn't done many laps on a 1000. Today he didn't touch the bike's settings and was just familiarising himself. He's certainly not discracing himself and he'll only get faster..much more interesting than a Jap test rider plodding around. Good luck to the kid.

Beeny, give us a kiss mate. Just..brush off that bit of sheep cack dangling from the wool thread stuck to your eyebrow first.

MORE TIME REQUIRED

I rate Jonathan Rae as the best British rider out their, But on a  bike he hasnt ridden before he isnt going to risk all just for a couple of races. Give him a full season and that would be a diferent matter and would regulary finish top three. He will still be top ten though within the two races
