Nurburgring WSB: Davies takes maiden win

Davies got off to a good start and was immediately at the front of the race behind early leader Tom Sykes and title hopeful Marco Melandri. After Melandri crashed out of race one, Biaggi took the lead in the championship standings and was...

Class Act

Nice one Chaz, a classy ride and in showing consistent progression through the season.

Good luck for next year in the Factory BMW squad alongside Melandri...

Davies

Well done Chaz Davies. Looks like he's got a big future in WSB. Neil Hodgson on Eurosport said that he had no previous superbike experience ?  I seem to remember he had a year in AMA ?

Dead or alive

That read 'dead last' Richard, not 'dead in the water' as with Mr Rossi. Biaggi remains class.

Never saw race two (family day at the beach), but fantastic news for Chaz. Another WSBK winner, and probably a dead cert to take Haslam's ride.

Well done Davies

Well done Davies on the win and two solid finishes. Hopefully he can kick on for the remaining couple of rounds and sign off the year strongly and get a good contract for next year. Shame Sykes couldn't get two podiums that he looked capable of getting earlier in the weekend. I thought Kawasaki sorted out the rear tyre issue but looks like there is still work to be done in that area of the set-up. Never mind the Brits ruled this weekend, well done all.
