Failed Ducati robbery

In Moto, Croydon was targeted by hammer wielding thieves on Tuesday September 4 at 5:30pm. A gang of six youths equipped with three scooters attempted to steal two Ducati 1199’s by trying to walk the machines out in broad daylight. Unfortunately for them, the staff were not having any of it. Paul Read immediately spotted the robbers and tackled them inside the showroom,...

Pack of goddamn rats

For those baffled by how they thought they were going to get away, the rat scavenging technique is get them onto the road then a scooter-rat pushes each bike back to the Rat Van or Rat Lockup where their little rat-paws can get to work on it.

Great job to the staff on facing them down. Let's just hope Plod treats it seriously.

Love how one of them is sensible enough to wear a Hi Vis whilst getting away from an attempted robbery.

words fail me!

Is nothing sacred? These idiots should be publicly humiliated, thrashed with the birch in public so everyone knows who they are. Or on the other hand this country could be as useless as ever and either ignore them or slap them on the wrist and let them go. Personally...........thrash them!!!!!!

Bring back stocks

These scumbags deserve to be publically humiliated. I propose that the stocks are reinstated for this kind of crime. After all, the police, I am sure are far too busy to deal with this. And the Crown Prosecution Service will find that there is not enough evidence. The number plate is a good start for the numpty who didn't cover it up but I do wish there had been enough time for the staff to rip the helmets off of a few of them.

Ducati, take note, these guys deserve to be hailed and rewarded for prventing this crime.

In Moto, you should give these guys the praise they so richly deserve. They could so easily have had the attitude that the bikes are insured and stayed out of the way.

Very well done to the staff and the passersby for being brave and stopping this gang. As a victim of bike theft it really boils my piss when I see this.

It is just a shame the gang were not seriously hurt but "hopefully" the police will catch them soon.

Well done to the brave guys at In Moto and does anyone know of a scooter rider who now has scratches all down his right hand side?  Might be an idea to put cable locks through the wheels of expensive bikes near an open door. Can't believe the thieving scum are getting so desperate to steal! Might make them think twice next time. Then again. . . . .

You would have thought they would have had the good sense to check that all the recalls were done before they attempted to have them away...............................................

Little b*stards...

Rowdygimly, the little b*stards sit on the bikes and steer them while the others push them along on the scooters. There are videos on YouTube of similar incidents. Once they are filtering through traffic at 40mph, you ain't gonna catch them.
