New sporty 125 for £2399

Learners looking for sports bike styling on a budget can now get the 125RR from WK Bikes for £2399. Chinese-made it has adjustable shocks and USD forks with twin front discs. It's available in red or white. Would you go for a WK over a more expensive 125 like the Yamaha R125? Let us know below.

looks good but...

i like the idea of dual front disks - not for performance as a single is more than enough on a 125 but rather the big bike look.

i like the idea of adjustable shocks - gives new riders something to play with.

i like the styling - mostly

but, it's always gonna have that question as to wether or not it is reliable, or if that adjustable shock is any good. the great slits in thee side, when looked at at the right angle, show off how empty those fairings are, this gives it a real 'cheap 125' look.

i'd never feel secure on a company's first bike in the class, especially not a chinese one. maybe a next generation might bring some, hopefully desserved, confidence.

This is a damn good looking bike. The big manufacturers should be worried as the buyers of this class of bike are not as picky as buyers of larger bikes.

I have a Chinese bike, and the only thing i find annoying is finding parts apart from that it's a great bike runs up to 70mph for a supermoto that's good at a 125, guys you need to understand these are cheap bikes so won't be as good quality but they are mainly for learning on mine cost me around £500 and it has taught me well but now its time to move on

Think that chinese bikes should be tested by MCN for reliabilty and buld quality over a number of monthat and conditions

looks nice, but you could get a second hand honda cheaper

lol

Why would you spend this much on a 125? Just buy a crap bike for £500, do your test and get something bigger... you're never checked that you're on a 33bhp bike or whatever you're restricted to now after passing your test.

Oh hai, owner of 2 Chinese-branded bikes here

And like fuck would I pay £2400 for a new one.  If you absolutely must gamble one a Chink Plastic Fantastic then pay half that much for a Lexmoto (nee Skyjet) CBR clone.

Let's be absolutely clear, WK Bikes are trying to buy their way into the big leagues with advertising.  Their problem is that there are only so many suckers around who'll fall for that.

Let's see them match Suzuki's 3 year warranty: no bullshit, no dissembling.  Let's see them build a reputation based on word of mouth rather than word of PR mouthwhore.  Until then it's just risible for them to ask £2400 for that trinket, or £4200 for their disposable ER-6n clone.

Well....

I had a look and you can get one of these little bikes for £1800, which doesnt seem to bad depending on build quality as china is getting better, yeah granted you could pick up a used cbr 125 or yzf 125 for that kinda money but  then who really cares if ur only gonna keep it to commute or thrash untill you get onto something bigger.
