Valentino Rossi continues development work for Ducati

Valentino Rossi might be heading back to Yamaha in less than two months, but the Italian is still playing a pivotal role in trying to make Ducati a more competitive force in 2013. The Italian raced a new chassis and swingarm to second place in his home race in Misano on Sunday, which was his best dry race result on board...

We're

saying it coz it's true.  You made the quote Nostro.  I say ''adapting riding style '' IS riding round problems and this is where Stoner excels. Nothing foolish about picking up on that perhaps foolish to say it in the first place. You just dropped a Smith and Wesson in our laps.  Bang Bang

Occasionally

I've thought you may have an I.Q approaching 100 Saturn, then you just go and blow that notion apart with your red neck revolver. Does sarcasm escape you to the same degree it does old Buelli? Is it a senility thing?

Thing is Saturn

You make what are unfounded and stupid comments about Stoner riding around problems because in your view he doesn't have the ability to tell his crew or engineers what the problem is.

All I've done is repeat what Rossi himself has said about himself being in a position to fix the bike. He has said he can't, it's the engineers job. He's told them he has no feel for the front, he can't sort it with set-up, he's waiting for them to come up with an engineering solution. In the meantime, he has said himself, he can't ride around the problem.

Sorry if you see that as 'Rossi hating derision' but it's not my problem if you can't see it for what it is - a simple illustration of some people's hypocrisy when applying different measures to one situation that affects two different riders. The subjects of the comment are the writers, not the riders.

Stoner had to ride around the problems at Ducati because Preziosi thought his  'baby' couldn't be improved upon, which was the reason why he left. Rossi made no secret of the fact that he wasn't going to do that.

So does the valiant second place for rosie mean that he A) has finally managed to set up the bike properly,or B) has finally decided to actually ride near the limit (because of his dedication to his mate),or C) has actually decided that he can ride around a problem (again, for his mate) I wonder how he'll go in the next race....

What's your point? That isn't the issue discussed - the issue is the hypocrisy shown in stating that Stoner rode around problems because he didn't know how to fix them
