Banned for 103mph wheelie past camera van

A motorcyclist was banned from the roads for 12 months for wheelying past a speed camera van at 103mph. Lukasz Wisniewski, 26, of Leeds, did the stunt on a Honda Fireblade on the A63 near Selby on June 20. He was already doing 93mph when he began the wheelie. He was ordered to take an extended driving test and given a community order...

Respect.

That is a beautifully executed wheelie. He should be proud of the smoothness of the whole move. When the front wheel comes down and makes contact with the road it is perfectly straight. Typical dibble to just harp on about speed and say nothing about how well executed the whole wheelie was.

A63/64

Selby/York is prime hunting ground for North Yorks camera van. It isn't that easy to spot as it's painted grey with few markings. It's caught thousands in the first few months of operation, and they're sly as to where it will be and how conspicous it is.

hmm

Gutted. Getting caught doing your first ever wheelie. Looked as dangerous as making a cup of coffee in the morning, lol. Seriously, he looked well in control, on a straight bit of road with no traffic ahead, compare that to doing this on a country road overtaking a car(s), with little chance of ever getting caught. The police are just out for easy prey and not catching the wreckless riders who do this every sunday on the twisties.

Traffic police hate motorcyclists. It's nothing to do with road safety, it's blatant oppression. And they are getting worse, I actually feel like they hate everyone that operates a vehicle. They see you purely as a an object for their bullying.

In control?

Yeah right! Deserves everything he got. It's idiots like this who justify all the anti motorcycling legislation we get saddled with. Hope he buys a car when his ban's finished.

Speed kills

Love the caption at the end "it is a fact that speed kills, no ifs or buts about it."  I'll be topping 500mph when I fly off on holiday, better get my funeral booked.

I agree with the sentiment about the rozzers hating bikers, but.... come on...  if you're going to pull a monster wheelie at a speed which on it's own would get you convicted, at least have the common sense to check to make sure you're not on camera! lmfao
