Bridgestone compatibility

Hi Chris, iam currently using Bridgestone S20 tyres and was wondering if I can replace the rear with a Bridgestone 023 for a bit more life? Great tyres but I only managed 3000 so a bit pricey for me. When I asked the local Tyre shop they were more interested in selling me the tyre and there opening times than answering my question and I couldn’t find anything on Bridgestone site. Front tyre looks good for another 2-3k.

Yamaha thunderace and a heavy rider

many thanks

Tyre choice

Hi there,

I keyed in your model on the Bridgestone site and it doesn't mention mixing S20 and 023s. I hope you get away with it, but you might have stability problems as these days front and rear tyres are designed to work together. I'd go for 023s all round myself.
