Aragon MotoGP: Jorge Lorenzo content with safe second

Jorge Lorenzo settled for a safe second place in yesterday’s Motorland Aragon MotoGP clash to keep himself firmly in the driving seat to clinch a second premier class title in 2012. The Spaniard led for the opening six laps but he was powerless to match the pace of main title rival Dani Pedrosa, who bounced back from his recent Misano misery...

This kind of comments been made before. Dani gets the same stick. Don't forget they're using a second language. How would you come across interviewed on world television in Spanish?

Lorenzo

is a quality racer, don't forget he learnt his trade from the best, but it looks like, whatever happens regarding Stoner, or whatever Dani can do, he's still being gifted the title, as was his first, when Rossi went out injured, and Dani still deserves a championship.

Not a gift

Lorenzo has had a tough fight for the championship this year with both Honda's against him. He has bravely fought off both riders and proved to be the best all round rider. Both Stoner and Pedrosa have had to ride beyond there limits to keep up with his pace. They ended up crashing out to often as they are to hot headed, where as lorenzo is cool and collected, he looks at the long game not just the race that day which is where stoner and dani go wrong every time. It is annoying when people say this "gifted" reason you don't win the Moto GP world title by accident! Come on guys! Remember dani and stoner were both "gifted" when lornzo was knocked off too!

Lorenzo oozes class from every pore

but he too has binned it this year, albeit in practice - not to mention a couple of very close 'almost' moments in the races by his own admission. One never knows if the fickle finger of fate will be cruel or kind when it comes to crashes and injuries.

Regardless of Stoner's injuries brilliance will win this world championship, be that Jorge's or Dani's. Two very distinct styles so evenly matched at the end.

It really is an insult to say that about a rider. It implies they would be nothing without the mentoring or influence of someone else. Lorenzo is his own rider and brimming with natural ability. He had pole in his first Motogp race.

Another comment about a rider with no factual substance - or perhaps you can say exactly what it was he learned and how.
