Aragon MotoGP: Cal Crutchlow misses podium on last lap

Cal Crutchlow refused to be too downbeat after he narrowly missed scoring a second podium in the last three MotoGP races at the Motorland Aragon yesterday. The British rider had been locked in a race long duel with Monster Yamaha Tech 3 teammate Andrea Dovizioso that went right down to the last lap. But it was the Italian who took his sixth...

Hmmmm

Anyone can play that game.

Sacked by Honda, not good enough to win the title - Failure

Passed over for works Yamaha ride - Failure.

Best job offer on the career killer Ducati - Potential massive failure.

Dovi

Dovi was a Honda man for 11 years. They looked after him and nurtured him through 125, 250 and then motogp. He was given the best machinery and every chance to succeed. He failed to win the championship, he failed to beat Lorenzo. Honda let him go. Dovi's had his chance in the sun. He may hang around for a few more years, like  Capirossi or Melandri did but his chances of ever winning a championship or even another race are gone.   He knows this. Wise up mate, all this bitching about Cal won't bring him back.

No not a failure. Done well enough so far. Needs to improve next year to keep his ride.

Line up all the Motogp, WSBK, Moto3, Moto3, Supersport and BSB riders and offer them the choice of a Tech3 Yamaha or a works Ducati. Not one of them would choose the Ducati. Honda and Yamaha are the Premiership. Ducati are Division 1. One thing though. With Dovi, Hayden and Spies all on Ducatis next year it should make the battle for the lower points positions more exciting.

Yamaha kept him on. His contract was up and they could of just let him go. Dovi is the number 1 rider and is far more experienced at this level. He should be beating him every week. Cal has performed up to expectations last year and this.  But he needs to improve next year if he wants to stay with Yamaha hence the 1 year contract. Dovi should of bit the bullet and stayed at Yamaha. Rossi ain't going to hang around for ever, especially if Lorenzo's walking all over him.

Much as I'd like to stay and chat i've got to go. Got a Wife and kids, you know, a life. C u later.

JT failed .

Cal hasnt fully succeded , and probibly never wil , but you couldnt call him a failure . If you take in to account of his back ground , he's done well this year....

Unlike Dovi.....

what

i watched the race he had no way past dovi so he didn't miss out on the last lap he missed on every lap not his fault, it's the rules which allow every bike to accelerate as hard as evry other bike (not accounting weight ) every bike to stop as fast as every other so how can two guys on the same bike pass each other unless one makes a mistake moto gp has been wrecked by electronics same as F1 was
