Blade, GSXR750 or ZX7R

Hello everyone, please help, I'm looking at a few bikes but can't decide between the 3.

1995 GSXR750 in very good condition 21000 miles £1,600,  2001 ZX7R in very good condition 12000 miles £1,995, or a 1998 CBR900RR very good condition 29000 miles £1,850

I have had bikes before and like all 3 but would like some feedback from anyone thats owned 1 or all 3.

Cheers

do realise that mid 90's Blades are becoming a bit collectable... especially in that condition... Those prices won't stay that way for long i'm sure...

Add some spice to your life.... Get the GSXR.. You know it makes sense.. I mean listen to those 2 Bladers, they can't agree on anything.. Do you want to spend the rest of your life contradicting yourself like them???? Course not!

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

Never mind the dark-side... Come and see the light!!

BLADE

Ok as NO ONE has mentioned the ZX7R thats out the window and looking at the GSXR on the back of a recovery truck its going to be a Blade! LOL, now do I go for the purple one and do a deal in the next 2 hrs or get the orange one?  how much would you bid for both?

My opinion for what it's worth.....

GSXR - old and dated.

ZX7R - a classic already and good ones are becoming harder to come across, a heavy bike but handling is supposed to be very solid.

Blade - a classic, but rapid and decent handling (odd size 16" front tyre?)

Not owned any of the above, but I do have friend with a 1998 blade and he loves it!!  Good Honda build quality and has stood the test of time.

Bike buying

Ticktak - I agree with Morris' mum.

Don't buy either unless you can go and look at them.  They were popular so there is a lot of choice out there and prices are good at the moment meaning you can be fussy.  We are heading into winter so there will be bargains to be had.  Walk away from anything that is in less than very good condition.  Worry more about condition than mileage as long as it has a proper service history - that way you won't go far wrong and the bike's value should hold up well in the future.

Right thanks for all the advice I will look at both Blades. as for insurance I've got that down to £350 which aint to bad for London, Swintons wanted £850!! for a 42 year old with 9 years NCB (rip off).  when I get the blade I will post some pics and let you all know how I got on. Bye for now.

The second one is the better buy. Its a 918 motor which is a bit more refined than the 893 in the first (although he says its 899). It's also 4 years newer.

having said that, neither are particularly clean (look at back wheels). For a bike to look dirty on a picture it must be pretty damn dirty. One of the many good things about blades is, they clean up well.

My mate Jon

Picked this up earlier this year. 16,000 miles, pristine £1800. Good ones are out there. Don't rush into anything.

BTW the earlier bike you're looking at is a CBR900 RR-S. The later is an RR-W.
