PIAGGIO NRG PROBLEM HELP

I have a 50cc Nrg Power, I can stand and go full throttle and hold the bike back with my feet. Its only producing 1.7bhp, I have just put in a new cylinder, piston etc. Any ideas whats wrong?

Welcome Ryan, when you open/ go full throttle does the engine turn/spin faster?

How do you know it`s only producing 1.7bhp?

More info needed

age, mileage, service history, is it modified at all, how recent is the problem? I'm guessing (assuming) its a two-stroke?

Piaggio NRG 50cc Power? year ?

Hi RyanNrg and welcome to the site:dopeyhmmmm:

This is probably the belt slipping or the centrifugal clutch slipping,or somewhere along the line there has been different roller put in the variator(probably lighter) which only allow the belt to bite at a much higher RPM allowing for better acceleration.Good Luck
