WSB Magny Cours: Sykes win race two, Biaggi wins title by 0.5points

Tom Sykes did everything he could to wrestle the WSB crown away from Italian Max Biaggi, but was ultimately denied the title by just 0.5 points. In a tense finish to the 2012 WSB season, Biaggi finished in fifth place which was just enough to secure the big prize and his sixth world title and second WSB crown. Sykes said: “On...

To the 41 year old Biaggi .Made it hard for himself but did all he needed to do.
Got to feel a bit sorry for Sykes....soooo close.

Cornbowl I can't work out whether you are serious or just trying to wind others up?

A different view is, Biaggi won the title in spite of his performance in the last two races, not because of it. He was on his arse in the first one, and had it have been ahead to head with Tom in the 2nd, he'd have been smoked, that's not counting all the fallers inbetween Tom and Biaggi, which was his saving, so all in all he was lucky to grab the title, and in my eyes Tom's still the true WSB champ.

And I know exactly where to put the key to wind you up.

i feel sick as a pig for Tom Sykes at the start of the season whatever it was setiing/style or just the bike eating tyres but it got sorted.

Biaggi really didn't deserve the title this year, Tom had so much bad luck on his side half points monza terrible race direction at silverstone engine blow up sheer bad luck but it is what it is good luck for next season Tom

Stig.

How can he be compared to "many GP Champions"? - He never won the championship in the premier league, trying to compare him with past champions is as useful as a pair of tits on a bull!

Whemy..

I think you'll find it was Stoner who turned the Ducati into a wreck and filled the skip up for the scrapman..6 times in his last 19 races.

That was after he'd inherited a bike head and shoulders above the Japs in 2007 and the same as he's done on a Honda.

10 wins to start..6,4,3 for Ducati. 10 wins to start at Honda..6 if he's lucky this year, 4 before he binned himself, 3rd in the standings when he did it.

Funny that eh?

According to reports, next years GP13 will have a Suter Alumunium beam frame. I notice they haven't gone back to the CF shitpig Casey pleaded with them to bring forward early, after he tested it during 2008?

Very strange indeed!

well deserved title

For Max especially at his age.
There are no ffs and buts about it....he one it fair an square.
Aint it strange how people think the rider they wanted to win had all the bad luck and the rider that won had none at all.
Its the way racing works...always has been always will.
Well done Max Biaggi.....6 x WC.

Wosi.

This juvenile attempt to illicit a reaction regarding Stoner's tenure on the Ducati is quite pathetic. Particularly when you consider the resources that have been thrown at Rossi and his team compared to Casey's time on the bike. Wether or not you think Stoner is solely responsible for the downward development of the Ducati, doesn't in anyway excuse the fact that in 2 years of the bike being in the so called safest pair of hands in the paddock, there hasn't been any noticeable progress. That is indefensible...
