Tom Sykes did everything he could to wrestle the WSB crown away from Italian Max Biaggi, but was ultimately denied the title by just 0.5 points. In a tense finish to the 2012 WSB season, Biaggi finished in fifth place which was just enough to secure the big prize and his sixth world title and second WSB crown. Sykes said: “On...

YAA-HAAARGH Jim Lad..

Stoner will be a fat, balding has been at Max's age..

This championship, his sixth, is to all the bollock brained #27ers who reckon Rossi had it easy beating this fella..

An enduring legend and a fighter, unlike some..a tip of the sun & moon to The Pirate.

Congratulations to all todays winners

from Biaggi's new best mate Guintoli, to Sykes and especially to the worlds fastest forty something rider for pillaging that championship. Max gives hope to all us of, errr, maturing years.

Tom

rode a great 2nd race, didn't put a wheel wrong, if only Leon could have kept in front of Max, but it was not to be, You've got to feel for Tom, lost the title for half a point, but what an outstanding Brit rider he's become.

Damn this blows, i would have loved to see Tom and Kawasaki take the title. The positive from today? The ZX10R's tyres lasted the 2nd race quite easilly, of course the track temperature was not verry high but still! Hopefully Baz steps up next year to take some point off the competiton. If BMW gives fuul support to the Goldbet team i reckon Melandri will take the title.

PREMIER CLASS

Got to congratulate Max. People might say he was lucky but this is what makes WSB great (Close racing and close championship with riders hungry to win) . Also two world class British riders in Tom Sykes and Jonathan Rea.                                                                                                                                                              What a fantastic season in WSB this year. The racing has been exciting and close with any one of a number of riders being in with a shout of winning. The other thing thats spot on is the commentry on SKY which has has been informative and funny  . I just hope DORNA doesnt mess with the WSB  format . I DONT WANT ANOTHER BORING SERIES LIKE MOTOGP
