Cologne 2012 saw a raft of new bikes unveiled such as the all-new and eagerly-awaited BMW R1200GS, an updated Triumph Street Triple, Suzuki V-Strom 1000 concept and retro Honda CB1100. Also revealed at the show was the Kawasaki Z800, Yamaha FJR1300 and a host of updates for 2013 from Honda and Ducati. Just spent Saturday at Intermot

Fack me it's big. It's a lot of years since I've attended a NEC show, but this dwarfs it by a magnitude of two or three.

Phil West didn't mention it but the star of the show for me was the stand from the upstart Chinese firm Yamazaki and their range of small motorcycles. I kid you not, fuggin' brilliant. We'd all imagined such a machine, but the Chinese have actually built them. Although I failed to spot the styling cues from either Japanese marque.

900 triple Yam

I dont think copying triumph will rejuvinate Yamaha!

Ok Yam made triples in the 70's looked great but broke down, LOTS!

Mayby reducing the price structure accross the entire range might help?
