Do all motoorcycle jackets connect to all motorcycle pants?

Hello guys

I have a jacket and was wondering there are any pants that go together with this jacket, and if not will any pair of leather pants connect to this. If so is this acceptable for going to track days or must they are a matching set in one?

Thanks in advance

Jackets & pants

In a word - No.  In any case I can't imagine why anyone would want to attach a jacket to their pants.  Not only would it look silly, it would also be very uncomfortable :lol::lol::lol:

Attaching your jacket to a pair of motorcycle trousers would be much more sensible.  In that case not all the attachment zips are compatible but you can usually get hold of the other half of the zip and have it sewn into your jacket or trousers as required.

It also depends on the style of the pants...

bike pants

Not sure about the zip at the front - You could catch all manner of things in that nasty zipper !

I must say I would like a pair of bike pants but have never found a pair with a large enough pouch for the vitals accomadation.

most jackets

or trousers I've had have come with the other half of the zip attached so you can get it sown into the other garment as required

Bottoms and tops

For track days the jacket and trousers need a full zip around the waist rather than just the small token one on the back. The top and bottom also need to be either leather or kevlar style textile. Dragging style jeans probably wouldn't be deemed acceptable for track use.

Zips (all-round zips in particular).

It's about time manufacturers standardised these zips in the name of safety instead of being deliberately different. I wear Wolf trousers and a Furygan jacket. Furygan trousers don't fit me. Apart from the zip mismatch it's a great combination but I'm considering "harmonising" at some point soon. This will probably mean rejecting Furygan's lovely new stuff and getting a Wolf jacket primarily because of the zips.

Which brands will zip together, if any?

Zips

There are loads of places that will put new zips in for you.

If you don't know of any, try asking at a bike shop - they are bound to know someone who does repairs.
