Motegi MotoGP: Ankle injury hinders Casey Stoner’s return

Casey Stoner has admitted the recovery of his damaged right ankle has not been as fast as he had hoped after the reigning world champion finished seventh quickest on his comeback in Japan today. Stoner badly damaged his right ankle in a high speed qualifying crash in Indianapolis in mid-August and has missed the last three races after major surgery. The Aussie...

Hill's odds

Just looking on the betting for Motegi with William Hill:

Dani - 4/5

George - 15/8

Casey - 5/1

Dovi - 25/1

Cal - 33/1

Rossi - 50/1

So I expect those odds might shift a bit after qualifying.

It's a necessity saturn.

Cornbowl? - Do Hills offer quarter or fifth odds for a place? Rossi @12/1 for a podium might be of interest.

William Hill have already set the odds for next year's 2013 MotoGP title. I think betting starts from end of December, last time I looked they'd got Ped @ 9/4, Lorenzo @ 5/4, and Vale @ 5/1, Marquez @ 6/1, Dovi @ 33/1 and Cal @ 40/1. But whatever, they're still aware of Rossi's capabilities, else those odds wouldn't be so short, and these odds move around, but they're not mugs in the betting game.

Haven't checked about a place, but noticed they do pole odds, as well.

The minute he looks fast he'll feel better.. Though to be honest he's already yesterdays news.. A hasbeen, who got hammered despite the best of everything... Has anyone seen the bbc nature program where the Komodo dragon nips at the water buffalos ankle, just a small graze, it then sits in the shade whilst the Mighty Water buffalo is reduced to shadow of it's former self and eventually to lunch..... If you gave it's teeth a polish it's not to big a step.

William Hill's odds

I'm curious. Has he any odds on the present ? Rossi to win a race for Ducati ? Stoner to win a race before retiring ? Gambler's blues. Who the hell is Billy Hill anyway and who gives a damn ?
