Motegi MotoGP: Cal Crutchlow gutted as podium slips away

Cal Crutchlow was left to ponder what might have been after he saw a podium slip from his grasp on the last lap for the second race in succession at the Twin Ring Motegi. After losing out in a last lap thriller to Andrea Dovizioso at the Motorland Aragon last month, Crutchlow was dicing with Alvaro Bautista for third in Japan...

fuel rule

Can Dorna remove this fuel limit rule please?

The only exciting moment of the race ruined, the rest was Pedrosa overtaking Lorenzo

and nothing else, total boredom............. it's getting worse than the old F1.

What's next ruin SBK????

It will come good again.

Don't be so short sighted guys.Moto GP will come good again.
Just think back to when they started Moto 2 and everyone complained about losing the 2 strokes.Look how popular and exciting it is now.
Also Moto 3 is very exciting and competitve and eventually the top class will be sorted.
Maybe all the so called experts on here should get together because it seems they know better than anyone else...LOL

More Dovi Voodoo !  He must be stopped before he becomes too powerful and hurts someone.

Great Ride

from Cal, he was right that even 4th would have been a good result, liked his comments, very philasophical and realistic, as he said he was rubbish here last year, huge strides made in 12 months, I think that 5th place finish will still be his, he deserves it.

Tough

"What makes it really disappointing is dropping back to fifth in the championship"

I think you'll find that you've slumped to 7th place in the championship now Crutchlow (he's clearly not very good with calculations eg. simple maths, average fuel consumption, etc).

Cal rode a great race and saved some pretty big moments.

Lucky Dovi once again. Cruises around keeping clear of the big boys and just waits like vulture to pick up the scraps of the real battles.  I could do the same on my tuned C90.

The record books will show this as just another 'Crutchlow DNF' - who could argue?

Cal showed them what he is capable of and infront of the main japanese bosses.

The standings might not show the great year he has but its been great to see a Brit having a go.

No argument, he did not finish.  There will be lots of those next year: Dovi Not Finish.
