MotoGP boss wants imminent decision on 2014 rules

MotoGP boss Carmelo Ezpeleta says he will push through his controversial plans for a controlled ECU and rev limit unless the factories can propose viable alternative options to help achieve his objectives of cutting costs and making racing more entertaining. Ezpeleta said he is willing to compromise on implementing radical rule changes like a single ECU if Honda, Yamaha and Ducati...

Bad News

This Tw*t will wreck bike racing for all of us fans full stop.Moto 1 IS the most boring motorsport on this planet in its current format and he wont change much in that ?

WSB is one of the most exciting championships in the world as is BSB and he has not had anything to do with either of these championships and that says it all

ALL HE WILL DO IS RIP OFF US FANS AND PUT UP THE PRICES AND WRECK THE RACING

This terrifying and destructive monopoly must be split up as soon as possible

And i agree he should drop the price of Gps (no chance ?) as £109 for a Sunday turn up day ticket at silverstone next season for a September meeting with 3 races is a absouloute rip off and a joke no wonder crowds are falling

More entertaining?

...Ask the Honda and Yamaha riders to "lose" half a second a lap, BUT make it look like they are still riding on the edge....(though would have to be more like a second to get the Ducati's invovolved).

Share the wins around a bit more, in a random, unobvious pattern....

Have the guy who finishes second pound his tank in frustration...

Have one of the losers smash a conveniently placed balsa wood chair over the back of the winner in parc ferme, followed by a scuffle (broken up by again, conveniently placed pit crew) followed by a lot of finger pointing and promises for next time.....

Could learn a lot from WWF....

Useless

MotoGP boss Carmelo Ezpeleta commands - 'he will push through his controversial plans' - Blah, Blah, Blah etc! He is the man with no idea and now has full control of the show. He has moulded Moto GP into exactly what it is now. You have to do as he says, resistance is futile. The CRT is here to take over - I don't want to see half road bikes slowly wandering around, what a drab future.

He stated he wants to lower the costs BUT - he forced an engine use limit which burnt off many millions changing engines - he forced a one tyre rule which burnt off many millions trying to make bikes that suit the tyres - he forced an unrealistic fuel limit which burnt off many millions trying to get to the end of the race using electronics, etc. etc. While we have to suffer his commands he lines his pockets with gold. Get him gone.

Seeing as...

...generally after the first half a dozen laps, bugger all happens, apart from the gaps between the riders getting bigger....ditch the hour long borefest and adopt the superbike 2  x 30minute sprints...

Less tyre degradation woes...

CRT's not getting lapped (maybe)

And more importantly...value for money for the poor punters.

I think you was on to something with the WWF.   How about on the grid Casey picks a fight with Rossi over Jerez last year and while everyones distracted Alberto Puig  wanders over and gives Jorge a sly elbow.

Or instead of qualifying have a battle royal. Winner picks what bike he wants to ride. The little guys wouldn't be the fastest then would they.

Something has to be done only 16 bikes on the grid and Jorge and Dani flipping a coin each week to see which one will win, it's going like World Rally. Formula One is almost as exciting these days.

Look at Moto3 is far more exciting, it's almost like a bar room brawl or World Superbike only Half a point between 1st and 2nd. He shouldn't be talking to Honda, Yamaha and Ducati but to Suzuki, Kawasaki, etc to find out what would get them back into MotoGP.
