Sepang MotoGP: Tyre choice headache for Valentino Rossi

Valentino Rossi might have to roll the dice on tyre choice for tomorrow’s Malaysian MotoGP clash at the Sepang International Circuit after he ended qualifying in a lowly 11th place. Rossi has had major issues making Bridgestone’s hard and soft rear tyre options work in the extreme Malaysian heat and humidity and he could only manage a best lap of 2.01.783...

The irony that many don't understand is that DORNA commissioned Bridgestone to create a tyre for Flossi's Ducati after a shocker of a season in 2011 that even had Old Bob reassessing how fkn limited the ability of the limp wristed Italian really was!

Swings and roundabouts they say just as 99% of every season that has preceded this one and it's arguably given Georgey a heavenly season but done nothing for the spectacle. Still, they don't ride themselves and thankfully for Caramello and the series, Spies ineptitude has taken the heat off  how easy it's really been.

2013... Flo on an M1? How very, very convenient. Can't give him the tyre, might as well give him the whole fkn bike that the tyre DOES work on then!

Mario, something stinks around here... and this time it ain't your goat breath!

Welcome Bridgestone

They sure as hell can't lose the championship, and yes, they did appoint Rossi as their development rider after the single tyre rule was awarded to them. Now he's moaning about his own input and HRC have to suffer the consequences. Let alone Ducati's faux pas for signing the godfather of bullshit in the first place.

I'm looking forward to Valencia post race testing. What then ? Forcada and Lorenzo stuffed up 'MY' M1 during my abscence.

Poor old Ducati. Preziosi has to get the Audi autoclaves working overtime, that they may get the CF project back in action prior to season's start 2013. The dumpster angrily awaits the Rossi/Burgess junk.

Preziosi looks forward to fixing that McDonalds bike in all of 80 seconds I guess.

its silly

To pretend rossi is shite because he doesnt want to get hurt while riding the piece of shit ducati. Yes casey could ride it but so what?  It worked for him, but the honda ,which works fine for dani isnt working for casey.  Does that mean casey is shit? Of course not...everyone has their own style, which works better on some bikes than others. Its like some whack it with their right and some with their left.....cheers

No, Rossi isn't shite, but he's not quite the adaptable messiah he was always lauded to be. It has nothing to do with him not wanting to get hurt as he's binned it often enough pushing hard, he simply can't ride it in a way that will bring faster times or find a set up that will do the same.

If he was riding within himself because of not wanting to get hurt, it's reasonable to say he would not have had a single crash.

If he's not riding it to the limit, there's plenty of other riders who would be willing to have a go.

Stayed too long and taking up space, just like Boris Crapirossi, Colin Dullwards and Kelvin Schwantz.
