"Lucky Lorenzo"

Well, after all his girly arm waving and the near loss of his front end, race direction kindly red flagged the race for Gorgeous George so he could keep his healthy advantage.... How sporting of them..

RidgeRacer, Eddy, Moaner  -  The race was not stopped just for Lorenzo - riders were going down like skittles.

What would your take on the decision be if they had not stopped it and Dani had crashed ?

My take.....

Would be...  "Ah shit!!!.... Gutted Dani crashed out but it is wet and that is racing!! Oh well, bring on next week" Simple as that!!

Remember Silverstone in 2010???  Absolutely pissing it down... Did they stop that?

Correct

Definitely the correct decision from race direction as Lorenzo proved by nearly dumping it on the Tarmac - probably a brown pants factor of 7 or 8 out of 10.

Make your own luck

Lorenzo hung on. How he kept it together was as much due to his skill as luck. Brilliant. 3 Yamaha's in the dumpster, but #99 kept it all together. One cool head he has. Moan all you like moaner. He kept the bike upright, called it too dangerous right on cue and kept his aspirations for a 2nd title intact. Mission accomplished.
