Ankle getting worse, admits Casey Stoner

Casey Stoner has admitted the condition of his right ankle is getting worse rather than improving as he prepares to try and capture a fairytale farewell victory against the odds in Australia on Sunday. Stoner is bidding for an unprecedented sixth straight win on home soil in his final Phillip Island MotoGP appearance. But his hopes of extending his incredible record at...

Idiot ...

... I've always regarded Stoner as a hugely talented racer - but not the brightest of individuals.

His decision to continue racing with such a severe injury - with nothing to gain and everthing to lose is just plain stupid.

Actually it's predicted to be a bumper crowd (and shithouse weather), possibly reaching or exceeding the huge '89 crowd and don't for one second think he's not aware of knowing why it's gonna be like that.

A very humble guy who is still too shy to bask in the glory as the europoofs would. He'll just go out and do his best just as he's always done. He knows, we know he knows and he knows we know he knows what it means to him and the crowd.

Aussies aren't big on sugar coating, you don't need to be fkn Einstein to realise that. Good luck to 'em all, even that bloody softcock eyetie on the duc!

A 'bumper crowd' ...

... expected - but I wonder how many Aussies will actually pay to get in?

BCB...

Nothing to gain... hmmm... money?... lots of it for a win but quite a bit for just turning up & racing (& he's only got 2 MotoGP pay cheques left)... an influence on the title?... no team orders but his presence might secure his team mate the title... self satisfaction?... he wants to be the best while he can... he's got the rest of his life to get back to full fitness but only 2 races to prove he's the best again.

Rossi goes out there week after week with no chance of winning... why risk a serious injury on a bike that he can't win on that could jeopardise his hopes on the Yamaha next year? As we've unfortunately witnessed, they all risk death/complete paralysis every time they race... for what?... the love of bike racing, fame & money... Stupid?... or just a racer?

Pressure....

I am hoping that Stoner finishes second behind Dani With Lorenzo as far down the field as possible, i am despearate for a last race clincher!!  However, I have a nagging feeling that the pressure to win his last race at PI, to keep his 100% record in motoGP and infront of a huge crowd, coupled with his poorly little foot, he may just chuck the bike at scenery...

Aussie Racing is Dead ...

... says Stoner.

So that's it then Bob - you may as well just crawl back under your stone and shrivel some more.

'Aushtraylia' is reduced to poncing off the 'motherland' - pulling pints and cleaning toilets in Earls Court public houses.

'Aushtraylia' is finished - just like the other 'New World' country, America.

Flash - but no class (or cash).

MotoGP racing is dead...

... bemoans Rossi.

"races are quite bad and it is very difficult to stay awake."

"worst period since 2000"

OK... so he didn't actually say it's dead but then Stoner didn't say "Aussie Racing is Dead" ... journalistic style bullshit.
